Trump lawyer: Lawsuit in Georgia next week will be “shocking”

President Donald Trump’s attorney Jordan Sekulow said on Newsmax TV on November 21 that the election challenge lawsuit scheduled to be filed early next week is new and will be “shocking.

“We could file a lawsuit in Georgia on Monday or Tuesday, and I can’t talk about the details,” Sekulow, the son of Trump’s personal attorney Jay Sekulow, told Newsmax’s Saturday program “America Right Now.

“I can’t tell you the details right now, but what’s about to happen in Georgia is going to be shocking, and we’re going to be raising this issue in federal court on Monday or Tuesday,” Jordan Sekulow told host Tom Basile. “It’s not something we’ve talked about before. It’s not something you heard at the [Thursday] press conference, either.

“It’s something that’s completely separate.”

Jordan Sekulow noted that the lawsuit will be filed in federal court, suggesting that this is likely to be a constitutional legal challenge. He did mention some of the challenges to the constitutional issue of “equal protection of the laws”.

“These lawsuits will be decisive, but I will tell you that the lieutenant governor of Georgia [Geoff Duncan], the secretary of state of Georgia [Brad Raffensperger], they’re going to be surprised on Monday and Tuesday about how badly they’re running, and there’s going to be a demonstration of how badly they’re running in a major county election,” Sekulow said.

Sekulow also noted that this has nothing to do with either the signature verification challenge on Georgia mail-in ballots or what Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp said may be an upcoming audit of the recent Georgia certified election results.

“That recount was not a recount at all,” Sekulow said. “The only thing that was done was to find more ballots that were new ballots, not recounted ballots.”

Sekulow noted that his legal team is working on the constitutional case, while the Trump campaign legal team of Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis and Sidney Powell is focused on collecting and compiling evidence of voter fraud, including the Dominion voting system.
