A group of Ontarians gathered next to Niagara Falls last Friday night, where they turned the Canadian flag upside down and used their cell phones to send SOS distress signals to their American neighbors.
Cullen McDonald documented the situation in a Facebook Live live video, where someone can be seen holding the Canadian flag upside down and someone using a cell phone flash to send Morse code to their American neighbors at the border.
Cullen McDonald, the organizer who started the event, said we are now hostages to the Ontario government and we no longer have the constitutional right to do what we want to do.
Cullen McDonald claims in the video that the U.S. Border Patrol has received our distress message. narcity has since contacted the U.S. to confirm this and will update the story when we receive a response from the U.S.
The demonstration is reported to have taken place on the same day that Premier Ford announced the Ontario Homestead Order, another anti-blockade protest that drew hundreds of participants from Barrie, including PPP leader Maxime Bernier.
