Political commentator and historian: Tens of millions of conservatives boycotting left-wing political hangers-on have far-reaching implications

Contemporary political commentator and historian Victor Davis Hanson, who appeared on SiriusXM’s “Breitbart News Sunday” on April 18, gave an uplifting speech saying that a concerted effort by tens of millions of Americans to counter boycott corporations that promote left-wing politics ” will have far-reaching effects.”

Hansen said, “Traditionally, political opposition can only be expressed in two ways: by voting and by participating in the political process. But it’s also possible to express political views by politicizing economic, social and cultural life, which means, in practical terms, having a group of people who will say, we won’t drink Coca-Cola anymore; or, ‘If I had a choice between American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, would choose American Airlines and reject Delta; or, wouldn’t watch the NBA or MLB. “

Hansen believes that “collectively, if four or five million people do this, it may not matter much. But if 30 or 40 million people did that, the effect would be immediate, and that’s already happened with the NBA, where the audience for professional basketball is almost gone in the U.S. The NBA is now dependent on the Chinese (Communist) audience, and the same thing is happening with MLB, and counter-sanctions like that are very effective.”

The right tends to say, we’re moderates, we’re worried about our communities or our families or our jobs. We don’t cancel people, we don’t boycott, we don’t do that leftist thing. Instead, Hansen argues, “If the right started doing that, saying we’re going to be organized, let’s just target certain companies, like Disney or Coca-Cola, that would have far-reaching effects. “
