What is the protection rate and safety of the two Chinese vaccines under the spotlight, Kexing and Sinopharm?
A man in his fifties in Hong Kong died after receiving the Kexing vaccine, which was not immediately announced by the Hong Kong government. So far, there have been a total of 15 cases of deaths related to the Kexing vaccine in Hong Kong. On the same day, there were cases in Hong Kong that were confirmed after receiving the Coxin vaccine.
A man in his fifties in Hong Kong developed chest discomfort and other symptoms a few days after receiving his first dose of the Coxin vaccine in early April, and was taken to the hospital for rescue on the 17th due to unconsciousness. He was the 15th person to die after receiving the Coxin vaccine in Hong Kong so far.
According to medical records, the man had no history of chronic illness. The death was not immediately announced by Hong Kong authorities after it was reported to the Department of Health by the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong government began administering the mainland Coxin vaccine on Feb. 26, and the first death occurred the next day. 15 of the deceased were elderly people, but the government did not stop vaccination of the elderly. In addition to the deaths, there are several people with symptoms such as facial paralysis and strokes.
A total of 17 people have died from vaccination in Hong Kong, two of whom were vaccinated with the Pfizer/BioNTech “Fibrate” vaccine.
On April 15, the Hong Kong government asked all community vaccination centers to stop administering Pfizer vaccines by the end of September. This means that since there are no other vaccine options available, people in Hong Kong who want to get vaccinated will have to choose the Coxin vaccine.
The effectiveness of the Coxin vaccine has also been clinically proven to be low, and on April 17 the Hong Kong Centre for Health Protection announced that a 63-year-old man who had received the Coxin vaccine on March 10 and April 7 had tested positive for the virus on April 14.
This is the same situation as in Chile, Brazil, Turkey and Pakistan. These countries have introduced and administered the Coxin vaccine to their populations on a large scale, but all have recently seen an increase in the outbreak and an increase in the number of confirmed cases rather than a decrease.
In January, a clinical study by the Instituto Butantan in São Paulo, Brazil, showed that the Coxin vaccine was only 50.38% effective.
Two vaccines from another mainland company, Sinopharm, were shown to be only 11.5 percent and 33 percent effective, respectively, in clinical trials in Peru.
The Chinese Communist Party has blocked information on the effectiveness and side effects of mainland vaccines in Hong Kong and other countries. However, the latest rumor is that a 28-year-old CCP border police officer died after receiving the national drug vaccine. He had no medical history, and his family was threatened to silence him after he suddenly developed zero platelets, cerebral hemorrhage, and subcutaneous bleeding after receiving the vaccine.
This comes after an inspector at Xi’an’s Eighth Hospital tested positive for the virus after receiving two doses of the domestic vaccine in mid-March.
