The Biden administration recently imposed sanctions on Russia and the Chinese Communist Party, respectively. Former President Trump disagrees, arguing that the U.S. should focus on China rather than pushing Moscow over to Beijing.
Sputnik news reported earlier today that Trump recently stated, “It’s great to get along with Russian President Vladimir Putin, we should be dealing with Russia, we should be getting along with Russia, not forcing Russia to join forces with the Chinese Communist Party.”
Trump emphasized that “the worst thing that could happen is to put the Chinese Communist Party and Russia on the same page… and forcing them to join forces.”
“Something is happening in Taiwan, something may be happening in Ukraine, and it was never a big issue when I was president,” Trump said, adding, “I got along with Putin and I got along with President Xi Jinping before the pneumonia broke out in Wuhan. “
