The Gateway Pundit reported Thursday that at least 5,800 Americans who were fully vaccinated this year have been infected with the Chinese Communist virus, and 74 of them have died.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told the English-language Epoch Times by email that these Americans contracted the CCP virus despite receiving two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Of the 5,800 fully vaccinated people identified as so-called breakthrough cases, nearly 400 required hospital treatment and 74 died.
More than 40 percent of those infected were over the age of 60, and 65 percent were women.
These numbers are for cases as of April 13. As of April 15, more than 78 million people in the U.S. have been fully vaccinated.
