The Breitbart News reported Thursday that investigative journalism group Project Veritas began posting a series of explosive undercover videos Tuesday showing senior staffers admitting to “propaganda” at CNN and taking the wind out of their sails. Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe was permanently banned from Twitter as a result, and Project Veritas’ official account has been suspended.
In a comment to Breitbart News, a Twitter spokeswoman said the suspension is permanent. This happened directly after O’Keefe and The Truth Project publicly embarrassed the far-left news network CNN.
In a statement, O’Keefe vowed to sue Twitter, “I’m suing Twitter for defamation because they say I run fake accounts. It’s defamatory and they will pay. Section 230 may have protected them before, but it won’t protect them from me. The complaint will be filed on Monday.”
The first video released Tuesday by The Truth Project showed CNN technical director Charlie Chester admitting that CNN ran anti-Trump “propaganda” that was “focused” on getting Trump out of office in 2020.
In a video released later, Chester admitted that CNN’s negative coverage of unconfirmed allegations against Rep. Matt Gaetz (D-CA) was “propaganda” because Gaetz was “a problem for the Democrats” and “it would be good for the Democrats to get him out of office. So we’re going to keep running these stories and keep hurting him.”
On the other end of the undercover video released Thursday, Chester can be heard admitting that if the mass shooters were “not white,” CNN would be less likely to give much attention to their race in its coverage. Chester also acknowledges that “a group of black people” have been responsible for recent violent attacks against Asian Americans, but that this is a problem because “it doesn’t work well,” and that CNN is “trying to help black lives,” but some of them don’t fight.
In further candid comments, Chester can be heard saying that CNN is using the “art of manipulation” to “change the world.
Conservative influencer Robby Starbuck tweeted, “Twitter banned O’Keefe for purely political reasons of censorship because O’Keefe has successfully exposed CNN, the media and the Democrats.”
Rep. Gates said, “O’Keefe exposes CNN for lying about me and running negative propaganda against Trump, then Twitter suspends him.”
Conservative commentator John Cardillo (D-Calif.) said, “How dare O’Keefe and The Truth Project expose the agenda. If the left wasn’t scared, they wouldn’t be silencing people.”
