Pence suffers heart problems, undergoes surgery to install pacemaker

The office of former Vice President Mike Pence, who is said to be interested in running for the next U.S. presidential election, disclosed on Thursday (15) that he had undergone surgery to install a pacemaker on Wednesday (14) because of symptoms of a slow heartbeat, and the surgery was successful.

The statement described Pence’s surgery as “routine” and said he was expected to make a full recovery and resume normal activities in the next few days; Pence thanked his doctors and family in the statement. Pence, 61, has kept a low profile since leaving office, but is still involved in conservative activities; earlier this month, he set up the group “Advancing American Freedom” to promote the political achievements of the former President Trump era and monitor the governance of the current Biden administration.

The company’s main goal is to provide the best possible service to the public. As for the current condition, the statement said Pence’s heartbeat slowed down in the past two weeks, and then underwent surgery at a hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.
