Iranian authorities threaten to start refining uranium enriched to 60 percent purity

Iranian authorities today threatened to begin refining uranium enriched to 60 percent purity by next week. Iran has held its arch-rival Israel responsible for the explosion at a major nuclear facility in Natanz just days ago.

Iran’s envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Kazem Gharibabadi, tweeted on social media, “The revision of this procedure has just begun and we expect to accumulate (enriched uranium) products from the centrifuges at Natanz next week.”
