For the iPhone, one of its biggest bugs, is that the whole machine’s range is too weak, and the most direct manifestation of this situation is that Apple has been resistant to larger capacity lithium batteries.
According to a DigiTimes report, Apple will enable OLED screens on all iPhone 13 series this year, and at the same time, in order to improve the range of the new machine, they will also make more detailed optimization of the system, and the battery capacity of the corresponding models will also be properly enhanced.
The news also mentioned that if the iPhone 13 full series use OLED screen, Apple is also expected to cite a new supplier, and it is BOE, but may not supply too much in the early proportion, of course, can be a share of the pie from LG and Samsung, it is not easy.
In addition, there is a supply chain said that the iPhone 13 series in the two Pro high-end models will be equipped with LTPO display and achieve a high refresh rate of 120Hz, which is the ProMotion technology that first appeared on Apple’s iPad Pro.
Currently, Apple suppliers Samsung and LGD are converting some of their production lines to produce LTPO OLED panels. The conversion of the entire LTPS screen production line to LTPO production line will end in the first half of 2021.
Apple first introduced 120Hz ProMotion high-brush technology on the iPad Pro released in 2018, followed by LTPO screens landing on the Apple Watch, where the Apple Watch enables all-day brightness.
