The gangsters cut off the tendons of Chongqing Cui Bin plaintiff turned defendant, was sentenced to death probation

According to a recent revelation by Rights Defense Network, Chongqing rights activist Cui Bin has been quietly sentenced to a suspended death sentence by a local court for allegedly killing triad members and transferred to Chongqing Shudu Prison to serve his sentence. It is alleged that the triad members who died in the clash with Cui Bin were related to the local stability maintenance department. Outsiders questioned whether there was something else going on in the case.

Recently, a number of human rights activists in Chongqing went to Wanzhou Detention Center and were refused to transfer money to Cui Bin, who was later told that he had been sentenced to a suspended death sentence and transferred to Shudu Prison.

Cui Bin was injured in the knee by a firefighter many years ago while helping to save lives, and was not given proper treatment afterwards, resulting in permanent disability. In 2016, he was escorted back to Chongqing after intercepting the vehicles of delegates to the National People’s Congress in Beijing, where he was placed under house arrest by Wanzhou police and beaten by gang members suspected of being sent by Chongqing’s stability maintenance department. He was beaten by suspected gang members from Chongqing’s stabilization department. They used knives to cut off the tendons in both hands and three finger bones.

Since then, Cui Bin has not only been restricted in his freedom, but has also been beaten several times. Some gang members came to the door and threatened, “A toothpick can kill you, the toothpick is coated with poison, it is the Longdu police station let us come to you.”

At one point, Cui Bin called the police, but no one was arrested as a result.

Li Yansheng, a Chongqing resident who follows Cui Bin’s case, told Radio Free Asia what he learned about Cui Bin’s killing: “I think it was in the other party’s house, and it seems that Cui Bin himself came to the door, and some people think that the person who was killed was some kind of stability maintainer. As far as I know, the other party is also a former social gangster, it seems that the two sides had a conflict. The old criminal police officer who was involved in the case said, Cui Bin this person really ruthless ah, a direct break, stabbed people to death.”

However, Minsheng Watch and Rights Defense Network reported that Cui Bin had been threatened for a long time, his personal safety was not guaranteed, and he was threatened with death, and that the reason for the murder last year was that police sent gang members to his home again to persecute him, and Cui Bin was forced to kill in self-defense.

Speaking to Radio Free Asia, Chongqing rights activist Chen Mingyu described Cui Bin’s ordeal as a microcosm of many of China’s petitioners: “It is said that his health was very, very bad, and he was living a miserable life, a desperate struggle, the sadness of the vulnerable. Because of the long-term suppression of human rights, you can not resist, resist you will be guilty. The oppressed to the limit will also be resistance, although know the consequences will also be at the cost of life it.”
