East Bay Tri-Valley Chinese robbed at gunpoint by African-American robbers in front of their homes in California, police arrested 3 robbers

Blythornton in the Tri-Valley area is very well policed and robberies in the community are rare. Mrs. Chen encountered a robbery for the first time in her life, and still has a palpitation.

Mrs. Chen, a Chinese resident in the East Bay Tri-Valley area of Pleasanton, said on the 11th that she had a frightening encounter at 12:55 p.m. on the 10th. She and her husband came back from shopping at Wal-Mart and were robbed in front of their home. The robbers held a gun to Mr. head demanding money, the two handed over their wallets, sports watches, jackets and a carry bag to escape a robbery. In the panic, the car moved forward slowly and the gentleman’s left foot was still stuck between the car doors. Luckily, his shoes were hard and his foot was not stuck. The robber took the robbed credit card and swiped it indiscriminately, trying to spend nearly $4,000, but the credit card company initiated an alert and the swipe was unsuccessful.

Blythornton Police Department Operations Division Captain Larry Cox told the newspaper that three robbers have been arrested and a gun and the victim’s belongings were seized. The case investigation is in its final stages. Ms. Chen suspects that the other party started stalking and preparing to strike from the supermarket. She reminded her Chinese friends to be careful if someone is tailing them when they go out to shop or pick up money. The company is also preparing to install cameras at the entrance.

The car was not parked properly African-American man rushed out

Ms. Chen said, 10 noon, she and Mr. shopping back, ready to park the car in front of the garage. She was going to the back seat of the car ready to get something. Suddenly, a young African-American male wearing a jumpsuit rushed in front of her, while seeing another person run up to Mr., pointing a gun at his head and saying, “Hand over the money!” She was stunned.

Ms. Chen’s husband said that at first he heard his wife yelling and screaming and was ready to get out of the car. But in the heat of the moment, the car did not stop and was still moving slowly. He opened the car door at the same time and tried to step out. As the garage could only park one car, the car was angled in and the space was so narrow that the door could not be opened and his left foot was caught inside the door and he could not move. At this point, the two robbers were still pressing for money. So he threw his wallet out of the car window slit, which had hundreds of dollars in cash and various bank cards and documents.

But the robbers still refused to go, and Ms. Chen took off the sports watch on her wrist and the jacket on her body and gave it to the other side. When you go to Wal-Mart to buy something, the folded bag has a few pounds of bananas, the bag looks heavy, the robbers snatched it all together. Then jumped into the car parked next to escape.

Because of the armed robbery in front of the house, Ms. Chen’s car did not park well and slid into the garage, scraping the body.

Fortunately, the robbers did not enter the house

Ms. Chen estimates that there are a total of three robbers, two robbery, one responsible for driving, otherwise not so fast escape. The suspects are very bold, there are police officers nearby from time to time to stop and rest, and is noon time.

Ms. Chen recalled that there are elderly people at home, once the home invasion robbery, the consequences are unimaginable.

Trying to steal credit cards failed to fall into the net

After the robbers escaped, Ms. Chen helped Mr. take off his shoes before he was able to get out of the car door and rushed to the police. At that time, the inspection found that the body of the BMW was rubbed off a large piece of skin. “After the robbers got their hands on the car, they used Mr. credit card to buy things everywhere and tried to spend a cumulative total of nearly $4,000, but these purchases were unsuccessful because the credit card company found that the spending was not in line with usual habits and quickly sent a text message asking questions. The robber also tried to spend on his savings card, which of course did not work.”

During the robbery, Mr. Ms. Chen’s foot was stuck in the car door and could not move. At the same time the car was moving forward, it was good that the shoes were hard and the foot was not injured.

Ms. Chen said that after finding the robber spending at Target supermarket, she quickly reported to the Blythornton police officers who came, the police joint action with other police departments to lock each other through surveillance and let her and Mr. identify the image. More than two hours later, the robber was caught.

Ms. Chen said that no cameras were installed in front of the house, otherwise the robbers would have been caught sooner. Installation is being prepared. At present speculation, the couple returned from shopping, driving a BMW, the robbers either trailed all the way, or ambush in the district, “the district is very safe, there is a park nearby, walking the dog and many people, ambush in the car robbery, easy to be found. It is estimated that the possibility of stalking robbery is a little greater. I also hope to remind Chinese friends to be careful, after shopping or taking money, must be careful to pay attention to the surrounding area, to prevent people from tailing to do.”
