What was said? North Korean high education official executed by order of Kim Jong-un

North Korean higher education leader Kim Jong-un has ordered the execution of a North Korean official for “anti-party activities” after he complained about a lack of government support and resources, the North’s defector media reported.

Daily NK, an online media outlet run by defectors in South Korea, reported that the official, surnamed Park, who is in his 50s, was previously selected as the chairman of the North Korean Ministry of Higher Education’s non-permanent implementation committee for the Distance Education Act.

An investigation of the committee by the Organization and Guidance Department of the Workers’ Party revealed that Park had failed to make any real progress in promoting distance education in the country, and that the committee members only criticized the government when they gathered together.

A North Korean source told the Daily North Korean, “The non-standing committee, which was established in June last year, was investigated by the Organization and Guidance Department because there was no progress in its work, while some of its members criticized the government’s policies.”

The official surnamed Park reportedly complained repeatedly to his superiors, who responded, “The party central committee has no instructions, so it stays as it is (and shuts up).” But the official continued to whine and finally Ja-woo.
