The world’s largest container shipping alliance formed by enterprises from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, opened a service from Tianjin port in northern China to Europe this Friday.
According to the official Xinhua News Agency of the Communist Party of China, the new European service of the Ocean Alliance will be launched by Evergreen Marine, a member of the Ocean Alliance, with 10 ocean-going container vessels of 14,000 to 20,000 TEU, running in weekly shifts, departing from Tianjin Port, passing through Singapore, Colombo, Suez Canal and arriving at Antwerp, Hamburg, Rotterdam and other major European ports. This is also the first foreign trade trunk line newly opened in Tianjin port this year.
According to the Chinese media “North” disclosure, this ocean alliance by COSCO Shipping, Duffy Shipping, Evergreen Marine, OOCL and other four shipping companies to formally operate in April 2017, the cooperation capacity in the international shipping alliance ranked first. 2021, the ocean alliance cooperation capacity of about 330 ships.
