Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, the owner bought a new house, only to find that the new house leap floor height of only 1.3 meters, 1.78 meters of the owner can only walk on his knees, the incident has caused netizens hot debate.
The Sichuan news channel reported that recently, Chengdu Mr. Gao bought a new house delivery, but found that the developer promised a finely decorated leapfrog (two-story building), the floor height of only 1.3 meters, 1 m 78 meters Mr. Gao kneeling can not straighten the waist.
Mr. Gao also said that the developer told them that it was finely decorated, but after getting the house, he saw that the staircase board could be cocked up and the screws were pulled out with a gentle pull.
Ms. Chen, the owner, said, “When we found that the house did not match the goods, we went back to check the contract at the time, but found that the contract for the height of the house was shown as fork (X), that is, there is no clear indication of the height of the floor. For us consumers, we can only sign the contract according to the standard version given to us by the developer. There is no way for us to change it. The developer didn’t provide a model house, only the salesperson’s presentation and the promotional materials they gave us, so we signed the contract, but then they asked us to sign a supplemental agreement saying that all its advertisements and materials are not binding on them in any way.
So what is our reference standard and acceptance standard as consumers?
Huang Rui, a lawyer from Sichuan Tuoyue Law Firm, said that we suggest that home buyers and developers to communicate and coordinate to see if they can be rectified, or give the buyers some compensation. If the two sides failed to communicate, we suggest that the home buyers to the relevant departments to reasonably reflect their claims, and request the housing and construction departments to coordinate.
At present, the owners have reflected the matter to the local Housing and Urban Development Bureau and the Market Supervision Bureau, and the relevant departments have also intervened to investigate.
A large number of netizens posted comments on Sina Weibo, many of them said “too outrageous!” “Too much! Have the authorities intervened? Can I return the house now?”
“The developer plays with words, advertising the 3.9m high living room, stating that the height of the house is 3.9m. Leave out the living room over the side to make up a partition, if the lower floor height reaches 2.5 meters, remove the floor, the top is indeed only 1.3 meters ……”
“The developer is completely fooling the consumer!”
“This kind of strange things happen is too normal, especially in small cities, developers are not a year or two of lawlessness! Home buyers do not even have a place to reason!”
“This is fraud! Developers are really lacking in virtue! For ordinary consumers, it’s really bad luck, a waste of feelings and time!”
“How did it pass the audit? The relevant departments have no responsibility?”
Other netizens questioned why the report did not disclose the name of the developer involved.
