Mr. Su of Nanning, Guangxi, returned to his hometown on April 3 with his family to pay respects to his ancestors, according to a report by the Punch News. Unexpectedly, when they arrived at the cemetery, the three ancestral graves of their family had disappeared. The remains of the tombstones were thrown away, and there was an excavator turning the land, and some people were preparing to plant sugar cane.
Mr. Su is very angry about this, “the grave is gone, but also sweep what tomb!”
He said that the cemetery is the village to provide Su family, according to the law can not be leased to others. But the local village officials privately contracted out the land to grow sugar cane for money. Without any permission from the family beforehand and without informing them to relocate the gravesite, they directly razed the Su family’s ancestral grave to the ground.
The report said the Su family has four ancestral graves in the area, and only one has been found, with three more still missing. Mr. Su said that if the matter cannot be properly resolved, the police will be called to deal with it.
