The United States has the world’s most powerful military and weapons, except for the former Soviet Union, so far no country can compete with it, the United States relies on its strong economic strength to develop a lot of high-end weapons, one of the weapons that most countries are discouraged, that is, the excellent performance of the B2 bomber.
Many people will ask why the rest of the world is not equipped with a bomber. It is very simple, except for the United States, other countries do not have the strength and ability to equip this fighter.
Although many countries have been equipped with nuclear bombs, and nuclear bombs are also an important guarantee of defense backing .
But for the nuclear-armed countries is different, the possession of nuclear weapons does not mean that they have a nuclear strike force.
Having nuclear weapons is only the first step, but how to launch them is the most important. Currently, there are two ways to launch nuclear bombs, one is through intercontinental missiles, and several of the world’s major powers already have this technology, which is also the most common nuclear strike capability.
The second is to use strategic bombers to carry nuclear warheads for aerial drops or launches, and only Russia and the United States have this kind of delivery capability in the world today. Russia’s current such aircraft is the Tu 160, a conventional warplane that entered service in the late 1980s . The United States, on the other hand, has several models, the most famous of which is the B2.
Other than the United States, the rest of the world does not yet have the strength to develop and manufacture such aircraft. First of all, the B2 is not an ordinary bomber, its design shape, engine, stealth performance and flight control system are all unique, and the U.S. military has adopted a strict blockade on this technology.
Few countries in the world also have the financial strength to equip the B2. The U.S. Department of Defense purchased the B2 at a unit price of $2.4 billion, not including the costs of maintenance, training, and upgrades at a later stage. Overall, even if the U.S. wanted to sell it, few countries could afford to buy it.
Moreover, manufacturing the B2 bomber is not a simple project; in fact, it requires an entire country or several countries with a fairly high-end and mature aviation industry system to realize the possibility of research and development.
At present, European countries do not have plans to manufacture this kind of warplane, Russia has lost its large aircraft manufacturing capacity after battling with Ukraine, and although China currently has early plans for the strategic bomber, there is still a big gap in the overall industrial level, and it cannot be equipped with such an advanced aircraft in the short term.
