Yunnan Ruili closed city, suspected of serious epidemic and cut with Myanmar massacre

After six months, the Sino-Myanmar border city of Ruili is once again closed due to an Epidemic.

The city of Ruili in China’s Yunnan Province was suddenly closed again due to an epidemic, with all residents in the city quarantined and isolated at Home. Some believe that the closure of Ruili has a self-preservation cut.

According to media reports, on March 31, six new confirmed cases and 23 new asymptomatic infections were reported in Yunnan, all in Ruili. On March 30, there were 15 confirmed cases and 45 asymptomatic cases, all of which are under isolation and medical observation in designated medical institutions. As of now, there are four Burmese nationals among the confirmed and asymptomatic infected.

On the day of March 30, the local authorities announced that they would conduct nucleic acid testing in Ruili city, and control the vehicles and people leaving Ruili, in principle, “no entry, no exit”. At the same Time, all residents of Ruili city quarantine home for a week.

The strict measures to seal the city of Ruili has led to speculation that the epidemic situation in Ruili may be quite serious.

Liu Bin (a pseudonym), the owner of a jewelry store in the trade area of Ruili Jigao Jade City, said that the epidemic mainly occurred in the community of Jigao Guomen, with confirmed cases on the 27th, and began to blockade one after another on the 28th, while nucleic acid testing. He did a nucleic acid test in the jewelry city, the community where he lives on the 31st and let re-test, queuing for nearly two hours at the entrance of the community to do a second time.

Liu Bin also said that the entire Ruili City closed, Sister Bridge has also been blocked, can not get in and out, all stores are not open, when to open to wait for government notification. Business loss will certainly be great, but there is no way.

In addition, there are many tourists are sealed in the hotels in Ruili, tourists also have to do nucleic acid testing.

Because Ruili is the largest land trade port for China’s trade with Myanmar, there is a lot of cross-strait traffic. There is also speculation that the epidemic in Burma has worsened, and the Burmese military government is under suspicion of massacre, which has provoked the United States and other Western countries to condemn it. Ruili closed the city with a self-preservation cut.

Ruili is located on the southwestern border of China, adjacent to Myanmar’s port city of Muse, with a borderline nearly 170 kilometers long, including 105 kilometers of rivers and 65 kilometers of land. According to official data from the Communist Party of China, the number of people entering and leaving the port exceeded nearly 17 million in 2019.

And since recently, Myanmar is suspected to have slaughtered more than 500 people because of military unrest. In addition, according to the Myanmar Ministry of health and Sports, the number of confirmed cases of the CCP virus in Myanmar has exceeded 140,000, with 3,206 deaths, and 19 new cases confirmed on March 30; the number of confirmed cases is still increasing.
