Trump Hardcore Rep. Gates Responds to Newseum Sex Allegations by Naming Former Justice Department Officials for Extortion

In a slew of more important stories Tuesday night, The New York Times tried to sidetrack public opinion from its coverage of the border disaster by leaking a hit piece involving Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), saying the congressman, from Florida, is under investigation by the Justice Department for having sex with a 17-year-old girl and paying for the girl’s travel expenses. The information was allegedly leaked by three people with knowledge of the matter.

The New York Times says investigators are looking into whether Mr. Gates violated federal sex trafficking laws. Under federal statute, it is illegal to lure a person under the age of 18 across state borders to engage in sexual activity in exchange for money or something of value. The Justice Department routinely prosecutes such cases, and offenders often receive heavy prison sentences.

It is unclear how Mr. Gates met the 17-year-old girl two years ago, according to two of the men, and investigators are taking a closer look.

The two men also said the investigation was launched by the Justice Department, led by Barr, in the final months of the Trump administration. Given Mr. Gates’ national prominence, senior Justice Department officials, including some appointed by Trump, were briefed on the investigation.

A source close to Gates told The Gateway Pundit that the story was completely false and that Gates was not even a target of the investigation. The Gateway Pundit was also told that none of the women Gates dated were minors.

The Gateway Pundit says it’s not surprising that the left is going after Mr. Gates so much, because Gates is a very effective communicator and staunch Trump supporter.

On Tuesday night, Gates joined Fox host Carlson to discuss the New York Times hit piece.

Matt Gaetz revealed threats made by a former Justice Department official against the Gaetz Family. Mr. Gates said, “The blackmail against me and my family involved a former Justice Department official. on March 16, my father received a text message requesting a meeting with a man who was asking for $25 million in exchange for the dismissal of sex trafficking charges against me. Our family was so troubled that we went to the local FBI, and the FBI and DOJ were so concerned about this that they asked my father to wear a wire. Tonight I am asking the DOJ and FBI to release the recordings, which were made under their supervision and direction, which will prove my innocence. These allegations are not true and they are an attempt to extort money from my family. Tomorrow the former Justice Department official plans to contact my father to give specific instructions for the first $4.5 million to be wired. The information leaked in the New York Times tonight, which I don’t think is a coincidence, is one to smear me, and another to undermine the extortion investigation. The investigation into the extortion, if it continues, will likely lead to bringing this former Justice Department official to justice.”

Carlson asked, “Who is this former Department of Justice employee who tried to extort money from you?”

Rep. Gaetz replied that this person currently works for the law firm “Beggs and Lane” and “used to be the top prosecutor in the leadership of the Northern District of Florida. In fact, there were conversations recorded at the request of the FBI and the Department of Justice that took place at this law firm, and today was supposed to be the first payment that would further prove McGee’s involvement in the extortion scheme, which is why the New York Times released the article, they did not want the FBI to continue investigating the extortion case.”

Gates revealed that “the extortionists even claimed to have inside connections in Biden‘s White House, and I don’t know if that’s true. They also promised that Biden would pardon me, which obviously I don’t need, and I didn’t do anything improper or wrong. What bothers me is the real motivation for all of this. Just tonight, Democrat Ted Lewis (R-Texas) asked to remove me from the House Judiciary Committee. I believe we’re in such a political era right now that by smearing people, trying to keep them from having a voice.”

Gates told Carlson, “Two years ago, a female friend of mine was threatened by the FBI. the FBI said she would face trouble if she didn’t admit that between her and me, I was the one who paid for the sex trade. So I believe that someone at the Justice Department is trying to smear me. “

The Gateway Pundit says that’s an explosive interview! Wow.

Later, conservative media outlet RedState posted an article confirming that on Wednesday morning, Gates’ father, Don Gates, gave an interview to a Politico reporter in Florida that confirmed Gates’ claims. Don Gates also identified a second man involved in the extortion case, local developer Stephen Alford. Don Gaetz said he wore a wire during a meeting with McGee earlier this month and said he would meet with Alford on Wednesday to talk about the first payment, but that meeting fell through when news of Gaetz’s investigation by the Justice Department was shaken out by The New York Times.

RedState Media said it should bother everyone that the FBI can just leak information like this through sources and attack a person in such a blatant way. the FBI’s investigation of Hunter Biden is so tight lipped that their mouths only let out information when Republicans are questioned, and that should bother everyone. This is corruption and should be treated with contempt.
