More than 100 people have been infected after 2 doses of vaccine in the U.S. state of Washington

The Washington State Department of health is investigating reports that epidemiologists in Washington State have reported 102 “breakthrough cases” of Chinese Communist pneumonia (COVID-19) in the state in the last two months, according to U.S. media. A “vaccine breakthrough case” is defined as a case in which a person has been fully vaccinated for two weeks and then tested positive for the CCP virus.

The Washington State Department of Health is currently investigating evidence of reported vaccine breakthrough cases in the state, local media reported on March 31. According to a related report provided by epidemiologists, evidence of 102 vaccine breakthrough cases has been found among the 1 million people who have received a full dose of the vaccine in Washington State since February 1.

The report shows that the vaccine breakthrough cases were identified in 18 counties in Washington State, where patients were identified as breakthrough cases by positive PCR testing or Antigen testing two weeks after receiving a full dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Most of them had only mild symptoms, but eight patients had more severe symptoms and were hospitalized.

In addition, the Washington State Department of Health is following up on two vaccine breakthrough cases that may have died as a result of post-vaccination infection. In both cases, the patients were reportedly over 80 years old and had underlying health problems.

The Washington State Department of Health said further investigation of the vaccine breakthrough cases will help determine the pattern of possible reinfection with COVID-19 after the population has been fully vaccinated.

Washington State Health Commissioner Umair A. Shah told the media that the evidence of vaccine breakthrough cases is a reminder that even if one has been vaccinated, one still needs to wear a mask, maintain social distance and wash one’s hands to prevent spreading COVID-19 to others who have not been vaccinated.

Recently, a woman named Melanie Rosen from Long Island, New York, was diagnosed with CCP pneumonia after having received her second dose of the Modena vaccine a month earlier.

According to public information, the woman attended the funeral of her friend’s father a few days ago, without a mask, and hugged several Family members of the deceased. A few days later, she began to feel unwell and was tested for the virus and confirmed to have contracted CCP pneumonia.

In an interview with the media, Rosen said she was shocked to be diagnosed even after receiving two doses of the Modena vaccine. Her current symptoms are mild and she has stayed Home in isolation as requested by the local health department.

She appealed to people who have been vaccinated through the media that not everything is fine once you have been vaccinated, “you can still contract the disease and may still continue to spread the virus.”
