Informed netizens disclosed that on March 30, Ruili City, Yunnan Province, which borders Myanmar, has been sealed off, but there is no official notice or report on this. Netizens speculated that perhaps the unrest situation in Myanmar caused the smuggling of Burmese into the country, or perhaps there was a genuine new Epidemic, as a new round of nucleic acid testing for local residents began on March 29.
The video posted by netizens shows that on March 30, the border crossing to Myanmar at Jigao in Ruili City was completely closed and blocked, and the authorities only used loud speakers at the border crossing to inform vehicles arriving at the border crossing to turn around and return to the same place.
The bridge to Myanmar from Sagao was also completely closed, and no one or vehicle was allowed to enter or leave. Many people expecting to pass through the border were watching from afar, but they did not know what the reason for the closure was.
There were many armed police or military soldiers with guns and special police were carrying iron horses to completely block the road.
In fact, the customs clearance has been restricted since March 29th. And in downtown Ruili, people started lining up for nucleic acid testing, and everyone seemed to be scrambling to be first, and they all crowded together without regard to safety distances. Some netizens speculated that the latest nucleic acid test report might be required for clearance.
By 2:00 midnight on March 29, people were still lining up for nucleic acid testing.
