Pakistani president infected with the disease before receiving vaccine from China National Pharmaceutical Group

Pakistani President Arif Alvi, who was previously vaccinated by China National Pharmaceutical Group, announced on Monday (29th) that he had been diagnosed with Wuhan pneumonia.

Alvi tweeted to the nation, “I have been vaccinated, but I will not get enough antibodies until I have received the second dose of vaccine in 1 week, so please be more careful.” Alvi administered the first dose of Sinopharm vaccine on the 15th. On the same day, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Pervez Khattak also confirmed the diagnosis.

Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan received the Sinopharm vaccine on the 18th, and was also diagnosed two days later. Doctors explained at the Time that Imran Khan may have been infected at an earlier point in time. Pakistan has a cumulative total of nearly 660,000 confirmed cases and 14,000 deaths.
