Minnesota’s 46-year-old black Floyd was killed last year by police officers kneeling on his neck, triggering a wave of black rights demonstrations across the United States. The case of the world’s touching Monday (29) in Minneapolis, the trial has been completed earlier jury selection.
The 45-year-old main perpetrator, Shawn, and four other former police officers involved in the violent law enforcement that led to Floyd’s choking death on May 25 last year, Shawn denied one count of second-degree murder, one count of third-degree murder and one count of manslaughter.
The city of Minneapolis earlier this month paid $27 million (about $210 million) to reach an out-of-court settlement with Floyd’s Family.
