A video of an Asian man on the subway being brutally beaten and choked to unconsciousness by an African-American in succession was circulated on social media from the evening of the 28th to the 29th; the New York City Police said on the 29th that they are currently trying to locate the victim, as no police information or police reports have been made after the incident.
According to the video, which was captured by a witness, the case occurred in Brooklyn (Brooklyn) Bushwick (Bushwick) and Beaver-Stevenson (Bedford- Stuyvesant) junction of Kosciuszko St. station (Kosciuszko St.) a J line train to Manhattan, but it is not clear when the crime occurred.
The minute-long video does not record what caused the confrontation, which begins with images of the two men fighting, with the Asian man fighting back at first, but not long before he is knocked down in his seat by the African-American man.
In the video, even though the Asian man has used his arms to protect his head, but the African-American man did not stop there, but a continuous fist swing nearly 30 times, and then the victim’s throat with an arm lock for more than ten seconds, ending with a push to hit his head, and then walked off the train in a tense manner, to the end of the video, the Asian man has fallen unconscious with blood on his face.
“He’s unconscious.” A bystander can be heard shouting after the victim appeared to lose consciousness, but no one tried to stop it, but multiple passengers shouted for the attacker to stop; at the end of the video, a witness can be heard claiming the victim had called the attacker the “n” word.
Police said on the 29th that the city police hate crime task force (NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating) has stepped in to investigate and try to find the victim, as no case related records were found after the incident.
