The Gateway Pundit says that in the past year, millions of Americans have become gun owners for the first Time due to epidemics and riots. The introduction of gun control, while unpopular, is what the far left wants to ban and is right in Biden‘s wheelhouse. The White House confirmed on Friday that Biden will sign an executive order on gun control.
At a White House press briefing on Friday, CNN chief White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins asked, “Should we also expect that Biden will issue an executive order on gun measures?” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki replied, “Yes.”
Psaki added, “I will note that Biden, when he was vice president, helped implement 23 executive actions to combat gun violence. Executive orders, executive actions, are avenues we can use to ban guns, and any federal government, any president can use executive orders to help address the prevalence of gun violence and to address the safety of communities across America. Biden will do that. He’s determined to do it.”
At a White House news conference Wednesday, Psaki also said that Biden “has been weighing in for weeks, using executive action for gun control measures.”
People on the right have spoken out. Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert tweeted, “Democrats are busy using executive orders on gun control and saying the Founding Fathers would not support the right to bear arms for Americans now. I want to remind Democrats that it was the Founding Fathers who ended the war on their former countrymen. It is plain to see that we should not be so infringed upon. “
Caleb Hull, a pro-Trump strategist, tweeted, “If Biden really tries to introduce gun control, Republicans can take back the House in 2022 and the Republican Party will be revived. Don’t underestimate the enthusiasm of gun owners. “
