The year 2000, the last year of Clinton’s presidency, was a watershed in the history of U.S. trade relations with the Communists. On October 10 of that year, Clinton signed a bill normalizing trade relations with Communist China and stipulating that the human rights provisions of the U.S. Trade Act Amendments would automatically expire once the Communist China joined the WTO. A year later, with the help of the U.S., Communist China was admitted to the WTO as it wished. It can be said that the U.S. abandoned its moral principles and insisted on promoting the normalization of trade between the U.S. (Communist) and the bandits, which was another big gift to the Communist tyranny after agreeing to One China! The nearly decade-long debate on trade and human rights in the U.S. Congress has been permanently brought to a close.
The normalization of U.S. (Communist) trade marks a new level of U.S. appeasement policy toward the CCP. By taking the initiative to remove the sharpshooter of human rights accountability, the U.S. removed the CCP’s worries and issued a pass for the CCP to do evil.
If one looks at the timing, the years when the U.S. normalized trade with the Communist Party were crucial also coincided with a dark period of extraordinary human rights disaster in Communist China. in July 1999, the CCP began a brutal nationwide crackdown on the Falun Gong practitioner community. A year later, Clinton signed the Permanent Trade Normalization Act with the CCP, and in January 2001, the CCP staged a fake self-immolation in Tiananmen Square, framing Falun Gong, creating hatred, and bringing the persecution to a climax. In December of the same year, President Bush Jr. took the extra step of signing a proclamation granting permanent normal trade status to Communist China. In this way, the U.S. did more than give the green light for the CCP to do evil, it encouraged persecution and rewarded tyranny.
Over the next sixteen years, the human rights situation in Communist China continued to deteriorate, but both the Bush and Obama administrations continued the pro-communist appeasement policies of their predecessors. Informed revelations and the mushroom cloud of organ transplants showed that the Communists were killing people on demand, harvesting and selling the organs of Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience alive for profit. In response, Falun Gong has petitioned President Bush Jr. and sent a letter of representation to President Obama, hoping that the U.S. government would pay attention to this horrific crime against humanity. However, both Bush Jr. and Obama turned a blind eye and were silent. In February 2009, Secretary of State Clinton, who had been in office for only one month, publicly stated that human rights issues should not be allowed to interfere with other important issues between the U.S. and the bandits, such as economic and trade and climate warming. After party leader Xi came to power, he accelerated the regression to the Mao era, extending the evil methods of persecuting Falun Gong to the suppression of all dissidents and groups, and even the concentration camps in Xinjiang, where millions of people can be imprisoned, are no longer taboo, and the international community is no longer surprised.
The unconditional normalization of trade with Communist China is a big step backward from the values of freedom, democracy, fairness and justice, and causes irreparable damage to the moral image of the United States.
God bless America not for nothing, but because the United States has been given the moral and heavenly responsibility to defend freedom and human rights. During the Cold War, the United States did live up to God’s mandate and was at the forefront of upholding justice, defending freedom and resisting evil. As President Kennedy said in his inaugural address, the United States is willing to “pay any price, bear any burden, face any hardship, support any friend, oppose any enemy, to ensure the survival and triumph of freedom. However, several presidents, from George W. Bush Sr. to Barack Obama, have abandoned the historical mission of the United States, blurred the line between friend and foe, and lost themselves in the lure of the Communist Chinese market.
In particular, it should be noted that the U.S. policy of normalizing trade with Communist China at any cost bears a frightening resemblance to the so-called Chinese (Communist) model that the Communist Party is so vigorously advocating. The underlying meaning of Deng Xiaoping’s statement that “development is the hard truth” is that everything must give way to development (economy), including universal values such as fairness, justice, freedom and human rights. In fact, low human rights become an “advantage”, which is the evil characteristic of the CCP model. The Communist Party spares no effort to seek economic development, and the U.S. side is desperate to seize the Communist market, so that tyranny and freedom, evil and justice, rogue and gentleman, are perfectly aligned. If Secretary Dulles and President Kennedy were born again, it would be difficult to recognize such a mutated and pro-communist America.
When we say that the normalization of trade between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party is a great gift to the Chinese Communist Party, we do not only mean that the Chinese Communist tyranny benefits in terms of economic strength and foreign exchange reserves, but what is more worrying is that the United States is tantamount to endorsing the evil and distorted development model of the Chinese Communist Party, transfusing blood and cheering for the Chinese Communist tyranny through economic trade, and getting closer to the evil Communist Party in terms of philosophy, or even being partially assimilated. This is really the sadness of America and the free world. And the United States should have denounced the CCP as it did in the 1959 Nixon/Khrushchev kitchen debate, that your communist development model is shameful, evil and anti-human!
Of course, the U.S. assisted the Chinese Communist tyranny to fulfill its dream of normalizing trade, and its own nightmare began. The U.S.-Bandit trade deficit began to imbalance under Bush Sr. ($18.3 billion) and soared to $346.8 billion by the Time Obama left office, spiraling completely out of control. Through unfair and immoral trade practices, the Chinese Communist Party has plundered U.S. industries, resources and jobs, stolen U.S. intellectual property and forced technology transfers. At the same time, cheap and inferior products, toxic toys, toxic dog Food, toxic drugs, and all kinds of illegal drugs from the Chinese Communist Party are entering the United States in large quantities. As the key industrial chain of the country’s livelihood is held by the Chinese Communist tyranny, the national security of the United States is seriously threatened. It was not until Trump rose to the helm of the White House, vowing to make America great again, and resolutely launched a trade war to fight back, that the situation began to reverse.
