Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo cautioned the Biden administration on Wednesday, March 24, that the key for the United States to address the threat of the Communist Party of China is to first recognize its ideology.

Pompeo made the comments during an appearance and audience interaction at the Texas Public Policy Institute’s online forum on Wednesday. He argued that as the Communist Party expands its influence around the world, the United States needs to take action to address the threat, and one of the most critical parts of that is to understand the Communist Party’s ideology and what its interpretation of “human rights” is.

The United States has always seen people as the most important players, the most important players in society,” Pompeo said. And it’s not about groups, it’s not about gender, it’s not about region, it’s not about race, it’s about people and families.” “But for the CCP, the essence of what the CCP calls human rights is power.”

He argues that the CCP’s ideology is very different from the traditional concept. “The traditional philosophy has respect for people and Life, while the CCP’s interpretation of human rights is power.”

“The CCP is defining human rights from a Marxist-Leninist perspective, calling it socialism with Chinese characteristics. Chinese characteristics are not about people, but about power, which includes: influence, corruption and the power of the Communist Party to stay in power.” Pompeo explained.

Based on his knowledge of the Chinese Communist Party, Pompeo believes the Biden Administration should strongly defend American values against the false propaganda of the Communist Party’s so-called “American decadence theory.

He believes that the Biden administration should never cooperate with the CCP on issues such as “climate change” or even compromise with the CCP. But he suspects that the Biden administration is moving in the direction of cooperation with the Chinese Communist Party.

Pompeo urged the Biden administration to refute the Chinese Communist Party’s spokesmen when they say that “black lives matter” is the core of the U.S. government and that Marxist-Leninist ideology is the central ideology of the United States. “We cannot allow the CCP to promote these (anti-American claims) around the world because it would weaken the U.S. position and influence among its allies, which would create huge problems for alliance building.”

He concluded by saying that the U.S. must oppose Marxist and socialist ideology because it is the ideology that the CCP uses to “rule the future.
