Censorship of Texas Border Shelter Pictures? Twitter blames software error

Twitter has reportedly admitted that it made a mistake in censoring photos of a government shelter in Texas.

James O’Keefe, founder of the U.S. nonprofit Project Veritas, tweeted a video Monday showing images of overcrowding of underage immigrant children at a Texas shelter. The video shows images of overcrowding of underage immigrant children at a Texas shelter.

The video shows underage children huddled together under thin tin foil blankets in a cramped space at a Donna, Texas, shelter, in clear violation of COVID-19’s requirement to keep social distance.

But the photos were hidden behind a filter by Twitter, which claimed the content was “potentially sensitive.

In response, a Twitter spokesperson told Breitbart News that the content “was incorrectly applied (to the warning) by one of our automated tools, and it has since been removed.”

James O’Keefe tweeted, “Breaking news: Project Truth Get horrific never-before-seen footage from inside Donna, TX migrant holding center; thousands of illegal immigrants stuffed into tiny spaces wrapped in space blankets on the floor; insider: over 50+ positive COVID cases.”

These photos lead one to believe that the surge of unaccompanied migrant children at the border is beyond the Biden administration’s ability to handle the situation.

According to Project Veritas, at least 50 people at the shelter have tested positive for COVID-19. O’Keefe asked, “If there is no crisis at the border, then what do you call this?”

O’Keefe has urged supporters to demand answers from the White House.

Members of the Biden White House have refused to see it as a “crisis” and instead described it as a “challenge.

U.S. Vice President He Jinli was slammed for laughing when asked about border-related issues by foreign media reporters on 22 May. Texas officials were also unhappy with Herb’s attitude and criticized the Biden Administration for refusing to acknowledge the “crisis” at the border so far.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said on March 22, “The vice president’s laughter makes me angry. I mean, this is such a serious situation about the sovereignty of our country, about the safety of our citizens, and these people (immigrants). I’m an elected official, and I don’t laugh when I know there’s something serious going on, and I don’t joke about it.”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (U.S. Customs and Border Protection, CBP) released a statement on February 17 saying that the number of families, and unaccompanied children, both types of immigrants who crossed the border illegally, increased by more than 100 percent in February compared to the previous month.
