Evergreen cargo ships have been moved to the shore of the Suez Canal and will resume shipping as soon as today and tomorrow

The Ever Given, which ran aground in the Suez Canal, has been moved to shore and is expected to resume partial transportation on the 24th or 25th, said GAC Group, a global shipping services company.

Bloomberg reported that Ahmed Mekawy, GAC’s deputy general manager for the Suez Canal, said the Ever Given, which ran aground at the southern end of the Suez Canal, had been partially refloated and moved to shore, and that shipping was expected to resume in the Suez Canal soon.

Previously, informed sources had warned that the grounding of the Chang Chi may lead to blockage of Suez Canal shipping for several days; according to the latest foreign media reports, the current processing progress is faster than expected.
