Jeremy Brown, a former U.S. Representative candidate for Florida’s 14th Congressional District, recently publicly revealed that the FBI, in conjunction with the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), had contacted him in an attempt to recruit him to spy on pro-Trump “Proud Boys” and others. The FBI, in conjunction with JTTF and DHS, had contacted him in an attempt to recruit him to spy on pro-Trump “Proud Boys” and patriotic militias such as the Oath Keepers.
Brown was in the U.S. Army from 1992 to 2012, earning the rank of special forces sergeant, according to the conservative website The True Defender on Tuesday, March 23. Last November, he joined the Oath Keepers militia. The group is the nation’s largest patriotic militia made up of U.S. veterans and former law enforcement officers.
Last November, Brown traveled to Washington, D.C., to provide security for the Trump rally. He also participated in the Jan. 6 rally in Washington, D.C.
Earlier this month, Brown said on his show that he was approached by FBI agents at his Home last December because he “posted something online. For months, he debated whether to release the information.
Brown also released a recording of a conversation he had with the FBI at a local restaurant. At the Time, the FBI tried to recruit him to spy on the Oath Keepers after a 38-second interview.
Brown is safe for now, but he has been keeping a low profile and moving around, the paper said.
“The FBI is trying to infiltrate the Patriots, a group of military veterans who are sworn to uphold the U.S. Constitution,” commented the website True Defender.
