Yu Maochun: If Pompeo is present, the Chinese Communist Party will not be allowed to spill the beans

In the first high-level U.S.-China dialogue since Biden took office, the Chinese Communist Party representative opened with a rant to provoke the U.S. side. In an exclusive interview with Yu Maochun, an advisor to the Trump administration on China’s policy toward the Communist Party, he said that if former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were present, he would never allow the Chinese Communist Party to “spill the beans”.

In the first high-level dialogue between China and the United States on the 18th, Yang Jiechi, a member of the Chinese Communist Party’s Politburo, opened the meeting by attacking the United States for 17 minutes in front of Secretary of State Blinken and National Security Adviser Sullivan.

Yang Jiechi not only asked the U.S. to take care of human rights issues in his country first, but also said that the U.S. is not qualified to talk to the CCP “because the Chinese do not eat this.” He also reminded the U.S. to stop touting American democracy to the world.

Chinese Communist Party Foreign Minister Wang Yi was also on hand to tell the U.S. side: the U.S. needs to change its old ways!

Yang Jiechi’s remarks were said to have gone far beyond the diplomatic bottom line and set off international public opinion.

The interview with Yu Maochun, chief China Policy adviser of the State Department in the Trump Administration, was published in the 23rd edition. He said that if Pompeo had been in Alaska for the meeting, he would never have allowed the Chinese Communist Party officials to “spill the beans.

Yu said the Chinese Communist Party “simply could not have made so many long, offensive statements and propaganda in front of Pompeo in the United States. This shows some of the nuances between Pompeo’s diplomacy and the current Blinken diplomacy. Certainly they both take some tougher stances against the Chinese Communist Party.”

“But I think in terms of the way he responds, Pompeo is definitely not going to apologize to the Chinese Communist Party for some of the domestic things that are going on in the United States and say this is not working for us and we need to correct it. That’s too low profile.” Yu Maochun said.

He stressed, “Because you can’t talk about these topics with a government like the Chinese Communist Party that has committed gross violations of human rights and has engaged in racial discrimination and genocide on a massive scale. The Chinese Communist Party is not qualified to talk about these topics.”

According to Yu Maochun, “Pompeo will never give the Chinese Communist Party the opportunity to attack the U.S. political system on U.S. soil, and to glorify Communist rule in a big way.”

Yu Maochun hopes that Biden will not change Trump’s hard-line policy on the Chinese Communist Party, because this reflects the will of the American people.

He believes that Biden just wants to change Trump’s policy toward the CCP, and there is no way to do so. “Because the most fundamental factor in the U.S.-China relationship, it is not determined by the United States. The good or bad attitude of each administration toward the Chinese (Communist) government, it is mainly determined by the behavior of the Chinese (Communist) government itself.”

“The Chinese (Communist) government’s own words and actions have been particularly bad over the past few years,” Yu Maochun said, adding that this is one of the most fundamental reasons for the cooling of U.S.-China relations. Both the Biden and Trump administrations basically have a bottom line on these policies of the Chinese Communist Party. The bottom line is that it must not go against the will of the vast majority of the American people.

The vast majority of people in the United States consider the Chinese Communist Party a threat. According to a new poll released by Gallup, 63 percent of American adults believe the Chinese Communist Party has become a “key threat” to the United States; 30 percent of respondents said the Chinese regime is a “significant threat” to the United States.

At the same Time last year, when Trump was in office, a similar Gallup poll showed that only 22 percent of Americans believed that the Chinese Communist Party was the “greatest enemy” of the United States.

Yu Maochun said: “If you look at the people’s elected congressmen, senators and representatives, they are basically 100% in line with the Trump administration on the China issue. So if the Biden Administration wants to change, it can’t change.”

In this case, the Chinese Communist Party is desperately trying to sow discord between the Democrats and the Republicans.

Yu Maochun said the Chinese Communist Party is absolutely trying to provoke the differences between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party in terms of their policies toward the Chinese Communist Party. “Let’s not fall for its trick. I think the reason why the Chinese Communist Party is showing a very annoyed look now is that it sees that the American people nationwide, regardless of the party, have a renewed understanding of the Chinese Communist Party.”

He reminded the authorities in Beijing that if they want the United States to change its

policy, it needs to stop the persecution of human rights and other vicious acts. Stop the persecution of Xinjiang, stop the persecution of religious people, including Falun Gong people, stop the violation of human rights and freedom in Hong Kong, stop the threats against Taiwan, and stop the very immoral business and trade practices in the world.

Yu Maochun said that if the Chinese Communist Party fails to do so, the U.S. policy toward the Chinese Communist Party will basically remain unchanged, regardless of which government comes to power, and there may be differences in approach, but the basic policy will remain the same.
