White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Monday that Biden (Joe Biden) and Obama (Barack Obama) have maintained regular contact and that Biden would seek Obama’s advice on a range of issues, according to Fox News.
Asked by reporters whether Obama visited the White House and whether the two met, Psaki replied that the relationship between Obama and Biden is different from the traditional relationship between the president and vice president, and that the two of them are “friends.
They consulted and discussed a number of issues, and hopefully that will continue during Biden’s tenure,” Psaki said. The conversation was conducted by telephone. If Obama had come to the White House, you journalists would have known about it.”
Psaki would not disclose the exact number of calls between the two men, preferring to say that they were “in regular contact” and that their teams often discussed “a range of issues. Pusaki said, given Obama’s work on the Affordable Care Act (Affordable Care Act), Biden will strengthen and expand Obamacare, the issue will certainly be discussed.
During the campaign, Biden announced at a rally in Flint, Michigan (Flint) that both he and the former president believe Americans are entitled to “Baylor health care” (badakathcare). Biden vowed that if elected, he would build on Obamacare and propose a new health care plan called “Badakathcare”.
Biden said, “Trump believes that health care is a privilege, Obama and I believe that having Badakathcare is a right. Since Biden took office, he has signed two executive orders expanding access to Obamacare.
Fox News reported that Biden has invited a number of people who served in the Obama administration to join the White House team. Current White House Chief of Staff Kline used to be Biden’s vice president’s chief of staff, current National Security Adviser Sullivan used to be Biden’s vice president’s national security adviser, U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen used to be Obama’s Federal Reserve chairman, and Secretary of State Blinken served in the Obama era as deputy Secretary of State Blinken served as Deputy Secretary of State during the Obama era. Puszaky also served in the Obama administration as deputy White House press secretary and State Department spokesman.
Although the friendship between Biden and Obama has a long history, Obama waited until late in the campaign cycle to formally endorse Biden. According to Breitbart News, Obama’s reticence turned into support for Biden three weeks before voting day, when Biden showed signs of coming to power.
In a congratulatory statement last Nov. 7, Obama said, “I know that Biden will act in the best interest of every American, whether that person voted for Biden or not. So I encourage every American to give him a chance and lend him their support.”
