On March 22, the “China – Inner Mongolia Grain Quality Development Index” was launched in Beijing, with the attendance of Bu Xiaolin, deputy secretary of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and chairman of the autonomous region, according to the mainland’s Nongbo website.
This is her first public appearance since she suddenly fainted at the opening of the Inner Mongolia People’s Congress on Jan. 26. The report was delivered at the Inner Mongolia People’s Congress, and her voice suddenly became unclear, intermittent, and then stopped, and there was a commotion as more than a dozen staff members ran to the podium to carry her away.
Then, the live microphone sounded “please be quiet”, the live broadcast was interrupted, and the big screen remained on the page of “Bu Xiaolin doing the government work report”.
After Bu Xiaolin fainted, posts about Bu Xiaolin’s fainting were deleted on Weibo and other social media, and news of a stroke was once spread.
On March 5, Xi Jinping attended the deliberations of the Inner Mongolia delegation during the two sessions of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and a live video showed that Bu Xiaolin did not appear. Officials did not report on Bu Xiaolin, nor did they give a reason for her fainting.
Bu Xiaolin, 62, was formerly a member of the Standing Committee and Minister of United Front Work of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. He is currently deputy secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and chairman of the government, and a member of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Bu Xiaolin’s grandfather, Ulanfu, was a general of the Communist Party of China, vice president of the state, vice premier of the State Council, vice chairman of the National People’s Congress, vice chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and the first chairman and secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and was known as the “King of Mongolia”.
Bu Xiaolin’s father, Bucher, was the former Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. His Family is the first family in the history of the Chinese Communist Party to have three generations of grandchildren in control of the same provincial administrative region.
Bu Xiaolin’s appearance comes at a sensitive Time of official shakeup in Inner Mongolia.
The six people, three from energy and other enterprises and two from the political and legal system, are currently under disciplinary review and supervision.
Since February 28, 2020, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection in Inner Mongolia “backwards 20 years”, since then, Inner Mongolia officials frequently fall, especially in the energy sector, coal field officials. The officialdom in Inner Mongolia has intensified the shock.
Xi Jinping on March 5 to participate in the National People’s Congress Inner Mongolia delegation meeting, then stressed that the Communist Party officials with state resources to engage in bribery, power and money transactions, is to be counted in the total account.
On March 6, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection State Supervision Commission website said that up to now, the entire Inner Mongolia region at all levels of discipline inspection and supervision organs accumulated 676 cases of corruption involving coal mines 960 people, investigated and punished 61 cadres at the department and bureau level, 216 cadres at the county level. In total, more than 1,400 people have been dealt with and disciplined throughout Inner Mongolia.
