Dominion Voting Systems has refuted allegations that it favored Democratic officials in the Nov. 3 election, including a raid on a server in Germany and ties to Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California. The company did mention, however, that it had donated to the Clinton Foundation, run by Bill Clinton and Hillary, and did not dispute that a former staffer for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was hired as a lobbyist.
In a lengthy statement last week, voting system provider Dominion, which first denied having ties to another voting software maker, Smartmatic, did mention that the two companies were working together in the Philippines and that it bought some assets from Sequoia, which is linked to Smartmatic, about 10 years ago, adding that the two companies were in legal dispute. Some officials from the Trump campaign have alleged in recent interviews that Smartmatic is linked to Dominion.
Dominion has been at the center of controversy since Election Day, when the polls in Antrim County, Michigan, showed Biden “defeated” President Trump. The county’s election results were later reversed. County officials said the error was caused by the county clerk’s failure to update the software.
The company confirmed that it made a donation during the Clinton Global Initiative conference in 2014, but claims it has “no corporate ownership relationship with any member of the Pelosi and Feinstein families, the Clinton Global Initiative, Smartmatic, Scytl, or any connection to Venezuela.
Dominion’s website links to an Associated Press report. The story notes that “according to public disclosures,” Pelosi’s chief of staff, Nadeam Elshami, “is part of a lobbying team representing Dominion,” adding that the team includes “Brian Wild, who sees Republicans like former House Speaker John Boehner and former Vice President Dick Cheney as his past bosses,”
Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell alleged over the weekend that Smartmatic and Dominion were used to help Biden get more votes than Trump.
Powell told “Fox Business” that “we’re getting ready to flip the election results in a number of states.” She added that she has enough evidence of election fraud to launch a wide-ranging criminal investigation. “I’m not going to comment without evidence to support it.”
“They can plug a thumb drive (USB) into a (voting) machine, or even upload software from the Internet …… from Germany or Venezuela to the machine,” Powell said. She added that operators “can watch the vote in real time” and “can switch ballots in real time,” meaning that the alleged bad guys can “access anything remotely.
Powell said, “We have mathematically determined the exact algorithm that they used, and planned to use from the beginning,” which supposedly transferred the ballots to Biden.
Dominion has not yet responded to a request for comment on Powell’s allegations.
Dominion again asserted that the voter fraud allegations were a “conspiracy” and “100% false. The company cited a recent statement from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which said that the 2020 election was a “conspiracy” and “100% false. According to the statement, the 2020 election is “the most secure (election) in U.S. history.
However, CISA did not disclose that Dominion Voting Systems is a member of CISA’s Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Council.
Meanwhile, Smartmatic said in a statement last week that it is not affiliated with Dominion.
One of Dominion’s contractors said in an affidavit last week that she witnessed the fraud at the TCF Center in Detroit.
Melissa Carone said she saw staff count some ballots four or five times and noticed that one of the counters even counted a batch of ballots eight times.
“I confronted my manager, Nick Ikonornakis, about how serious this problem was,” Caron said. “Nick told me that he didn’t want to hear that we had a big problem. He told me that we were here to help with IT, not run for office.”
