Yesterday he was a media darling, tomorrow he wants to elect the President of the United States, today he’s a pariah, what’s wrong with Cuomo? He said he was harassing the women under his command, while in fact it was more like a cover for getting away with nursing Home murder.
01/ Women who were sexually harassed and nursing home massacres
- There are at least six women who have been sexually harassed by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. By some counts, 242 people in the U.S. media had come forward to back up these allegations and testify in solidarity by the end of last week.
The numbers may also be inaccurate, but that doesn’t detract from the truth of the matter. Click on any headline and you can read the ins and outs of the scandalous stories of what happened to Governor Cuomo at a Christmas party in the state capital, Albany, or at a cocktail party in Manhattan, New York. Every gesture, every expression, every word, even every breath.
Is this the Democrats’ way of helping President Trump get revenge? It doesn’t seem that humorous.
Although the allegations do seem credible and highly consistent with Cuomo’s usual tough-guy persona. Still, Democrats are consciously or unconsciously ignoring or covering up another scandal for the governor, and the hoopla is all but downplaying his alleged serious crime, the mass death of elderly New Yorkers.
Since last summer, there have been complaints about the massacre in New York nursing homes. At the Time even the New York State Department of health admitted that thousands of newly crowned patients had been transferred to nursing homes at the behest of Governor Cuomo, and that no appropriate safety measures had been taken. Yet, except for a few media outlets, the accident was completely ignored.
Even today, the Democratic Party and the U.S. media only mention that in passing, as a dispensable ingredient and appetizer, while gleefully bashing Cuomo for harassing women.
Now, Cuomo has finally come out and admitted that the death toll in New York State is not 8,500, as the state health department initially claimed, but well over 15,000.
However, the Democrats are just coughing twice. And the mainstream media, interest was lacking.
02/ Governor Cuomo’s building is up and the building is down
The New York governor’s mansion in Albany is full of history. It was the former home of several former governors, Rockefeller, Roosevelt Sr. and Roosevelt Jr. and, of course, Cuomo’s father, Mario. The 63-year-old Democrat has been living in the mansion since Cuomo broke up with his girlfriend, TV personality Sandra.
Last year, he burst onto the scene overnight as the “governor of the United States” after having been somewhat out of the limelight. Cuomo has pretty much become the national leader of the Democratic Party. He is the natural enemy of President Trump. He’s the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in 2020, of course. The buzz was overwhelming.
One day in June, Cuomo held a big event in the backyard of the governor’s mansion, celebrating their team’s accomplishments with beer and wine. Accomplishments are not easy. Behind the scenes, Mr. Cuomo is obsessed with a changing set of numbers each day: his ratings. The one question on his lips every day is which network broadcast his show live.
Cuomo’s performance in the new Coronet has earned him numerous haloes. His press conference on the coronavirus became a fireside chat among the elite. on the cover of Rolling Stone in May, a stately pop-rock star. The book “American Crisis,” touting how he led, was published. The book brought him not only a seven-figure paycheck, but his name was listed as a candidate for Biden‘s job as attorney general. in November, he won an Emmy for his television performance.
And for all the accusations about the New York nursing home issue, he never came clean, saying it was an attack and a smear. The champagne glasses kept ringing until New York State Democrats in Albany took a shot at their governor. Then, Cuomo’s former aide and Manhattan borough president candidate Boylan published an article accusing him of sexual harassment.
The floodgates were opened.
Now Cuomo is being characterized as a lecherous tyrant by his fellow Democratic politicians. In a way, this is not surprising.
In a 1982 interview with the New York Times, the younger Cuomo crossed his feet on his desk like Obama, lit a cigarette, exhaled a smoke ring and said, “I’ve become very popular lately.” Cuomo Sr. won the just-concluded gubernatorial race, with the younger man serving as executive director of his father’s transition team. During his father Mario’s tenure as governor, his son was known as an enforcer.” Mario was good at being good, and the bad guys were always his job.” He was very good at it.”
With New York being the hardest hit by the new crown virus, it’s understandable that Cuomo is gaining media attention. Cuomo has benefited more from the partisan struggle in the United States. The man that U.S. Democrats and the mainstream media are desperately defending against President Trump. But there’s something else at play here, too. Lurking beneath Cuomo’s surface are America’s most enduring and annoying traits: political correctness and a Culture of celebrity.
It’s well understood. President Trump is the biggest political incorrectness in America, and having someone so completely for and against is the biggest political correctness of all. And Papa Cuomo was a three-term governor of New York, he was married to President Kennedy’s niece, Kerry, and was also President Clinton’s Secretary of Housing in his second term. In this way, Cuomo seems to be almost tailor-made for the American acting world.
At a time when anti-Trump is all the rage, this guy looks like a Batman villain. His mannerisms, slightly weepy, every New York accent reminiscent of Trump and, yes, of the Corleone Family in the gangster movies “The Thief and the Gangster” and “The Godfather”.
He’s put it all to work for the public good, for science. Governor Cuomo, by the way, is in the same category as Dr. Forsythe. He’s a public servant, and he’s a better man than the guy who wears a triple mask while jogging. Cuomo even has his own personal TV show, along with a friendly cameo from CNN’s own brother.
Watching Cuomo on TV makes you feel sorry for New Yorkers. A huge disaster has become a showcase for these politically correct guys. It’s absolutely embarrassing, unless one day the brothers’ show becomes a “martial arts” show where they fight each other.
Andrew Cuomo’s rise to power has never been about reality. In fact, he runs a state where nearly 50,000 people have died from the new crown. He is responsible for that. Unfortunately, everything he says is correct, and the little hands of the surrounding media clap loud and red and sore every time. Americans are so enamored with this that they not only want to be entertained, they want to feel good about being entertained, and they want to hear their entertainers turn the mundane actions and views of Americans into something humanitarian and righteous. That’s what Governor Cuomo has done.
This alternative state treatment is what made Princess Diana so beloved. While Princess Diana’s taste far exceeded Cuomo’s, just as Diana’s elegant appearance masked a darker reality, so did the New York governor’s screed. The American media’s deference deliberately ignored his scandals and deliberately created a left-wing New Crown era hero worship farce.
Now, the sleepwalking American media has suddenly noticed that Cuomo has left a nearly empty medical ship stranded in New York Harbor, bobbing along for weeks on end.
03/ Cover for Cuomo’s excuse to get away with it?
It is very strange that Cuomo said he would not “bow down to the culture of cancellation” because he is “not part of the club. Cuomo is a politically correct Democrat and a veteran politician who, like his brother, CNN host Chris, condones the “culture of cancellation.
Biden and the Democrats, CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post celebrated Cuomo’s television achievements until New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, released a report on the Cuomo administration’s cover-up of nursing home deaths.
In fact, James is a woman and a black man. The American media certainly wouldn’t dare say that this woman would want Cuomo out if she ran for governor next year.
In addition to the report on James, a black female attorney general, there is the big mess that is state Rep. King. King’s uncle died in a nursing home. King believes New York state government is to blame. King said he cried when he read how Cuomo fudged the numbers. He noted that Cuomo’s aides admitted they were giving false information to avoid investigation.
Note whether there is a possible crime here?
Note also that the U.S. mainstream media accepted Cuomo’s lie last year that seniors were being pushed into nursing homes because he was following the federal policies of the “Trump Republican administration. So, will Hollywood now revoke Cuomo’s Emmy Award for his self-indulgent TV show? Oh, that’s like asking if the Nobel Committee will revoke Obama’s Nobel Prize just for being president?
Cuomo is the poster boy for so-called “progressive” governance. Pretentious. On the new crown virus governance, Cuomo’s long-winded, chattering, self-aggrandizing telecast won an Emmy while sending the new crown seniors to a nursing home, effectively a collective death sentence.
The treatment and harassment of women in the workplace deserves discussion and attention, and while Cuomo’s misconduct with women may raise legal issues, what is worse than being fatally at fault in a nursing home? Aren’t the fatal consequences of his new crown policy and the possible criminal cover-up, resignation or impeachment for “making women feel uncomfortable in the workplace” a cover?
New crowns, especially without Trump, are not sexy stuff for the American media and no one cares. Ironically, Cuomo attacked the women’s allegations as a “distraction” from his administration. And he should actually thank the soap opera for distracting people from his most serious problems.
04/ What is Cuomo holding out for?
Cuomo is indeed a tough guy. He was undaunted in the face of the overwhelming attacks from Democrats and the media. Faced with more than half a dozen women making allegations of sexual harassment or misconduct, Cuomo denied them all.
The three-term governor refused to resign despite impeachment investigations launched by New York state lawmakers and despite calls for his resignation from most of his fellow Democrats.
Cuomo claimed that lawmakers calling for his resignation did so “without any knowledge of the facts or substance” and for “political expediency,” implying that his accusers had ulterior motives.
More than a dozen New York Democrats called on the governor to step down, saying, “It is clear that Governor Cuomo has lost the trust of his governing partners and the people of New York.
The new line from Democratic politicians is that Governor Cuomo should resign because he has “lost the confidence to govern” – how hypocritical. Translated, he no longer has the clout to hurt us; he could lose to a Republican next year.
Predictably, Cuomo will have his own defense: If women misunderstand my harmless banter, I apologize. Look, he knows exactly what he’s doing. He also has his own straw man that will say he didn’t force himself on women. He was trying to buy time, saying he was waiting for an “independent” investigation by the New York DA.
Cuomo is not a fool, he’s a lawyer. He will not resign yet. Because power is not only corrupt, it’s absolutely corrupt, and it’s the only way to stay in power. Once he leaves office, what does he have?
If he can somehow prevent impeachment by offering to resign, he will do so. More importantly, if he faces New York state or federal charges, he could use his resignation as part of a plea bargain.
The New York Times said that Cuomo’s fall from grace “occurred with a speed that only a friendless man would suffer.” The problem with Cuomo is that no one ever liked him.
This broadsheet is clearly talking nonsense again.
The Democrats leading the charge for Cuomo’s resignation are more progressive politically than he is. That’s why the governor dismissively told his fellow party members last Friday, “I’m not part of the political club.”
The son’s spear is used to attack the son’s shield. Cuomo knows what he has to do to save his job, and even his fourth re-election campaign in 2022. Cuomo’s advisers have even been enlisting the support and endorsement of the Black Lives Matter aristocracy. Flanked by black clergy leaders, he has come out ostensibly to promote vaccine efforts in New York City, while in fact ……
everything Cuomo is now, his home, his legacy, his identity, is wrapped up in the now tragically besieged governorship. The governor is his air. Perhaps, at this point, he should regret that his old man didn’t give him a dark skin, and a female gender. In that case, he could almost rest easy in the face of the attacks within the Democratic Party. The good thing is that now, Cuomo still has a chance if he changes his gender.
Hey, this political correctness thing is really a very bad bedfellow for American public policy. In addition to the fleeting, superficial carnival, there are enduring, tragic and harmful consequences. The damage was done not only by older Americans, but by Cuomo himself.
With Cuomo’s collapse, the American gaze is turning all the way from the East Coast to the West. There, another king of the Epidemic, the Queen of Michigan, is sitting glowingly.
Like Governor Cuomo, Governor Gretchen Whitmer was hailed as a hero of the epidemic. Like Cuomo, she forced coronavirus patients into nursing homes and covered up the death toll. Will she be held accountable?
And that depends on the answer to another question: When will Democrats abandon her? And who is to say that you, who are politically correct today, will not be a politically correct sinner tomorrow in an America where everything is politically correct? Does the suspected moderate senile dementia of the always sleepy blah blah count?
