Democratic Rep. Sanchez, on CNN Thursday, said reporters are not fit to visit facilities for unaccompanied children according to the U.S.-Mexico border, according to Breitbart News.
The CNN anchor asked, “The reporters that we send to the border are constantly asking for access to child holding facilities, and the secretary of homeland security is saying that these facilities are not for children. Are you concerned about the lack of transparency?”
Sanchez said, “I’m telling you, during the Trump administration, members of Congress were not allowed to go into these facilities.” A reader of Breitbart News reported that Congresswoman AOC visited an immigration detention center in Texas in July 2019, called the conditions “horrible” and denounced sexual threats against her. isn’t AOC a member of Congress? Who are these two Democratic congresswomen lying?
The anchor interjected, “Honorable Congresswoman, that rule doesn’t work now. It’s clear that you’re upset about the lack of transparency. Are you concerned about the lack of transparency?”
Sanchez said, “Of course I’m worried. The facilities where children are housed have to be kept at a social distance during an outbreak. I don’t necessarily think that it’s appropriate for journalists to visit these facilities because these centers are not permanent placements of children, they are just temporary placements while waiting for the paperwork to be processed. These children will be removed from the temporary facilities as quickly and as quickly as possible.”
The anchor followed up with, “I’ve heard that some of these children are being held longer than the law requires.”
Sanchez said, “If this were not a pandemic, I would fully understand the concern, but we are dealing with a unique set of circumstances that are unprecedented. You can’t blame the government, they’re doing everything they can to treat these kids in a humane way, it’s just that the limitations of the Communist virus are being handled a little bit slowly.”
Readers of Breitbart News think it’s clear that this is Biden‘s big mistake, and that if Biden had followed Trump’s sensible policy of immigrants staying in Mexico, this wouldn’t have happened at all. But nothing seems more important to the Democrats than gaining a large number of future Democratic voters. They spare no expense.

Another reader writes that the Democratic congressman’s comments should have triggered a flurry of reporters! With Drones, parabolic microphones, laser recording devices, etc., there should be hundreds, if not thousands, of reporters surrounding these facilities to follow all movements. If this border child issue happened during the Trump presidency, reporters would have done this already, with 24/7 reporters filming and the public already seeing the screaming children. Now their reporters’ demand for access to child detention facilities is just a front.
