To help Republicans take back Congress in 2022, former President Donald Trump has repeatedly allowed his endorsed congressional candidates to hold fundraisers at his Mar-a-Lago, Florida, Home. Next month, the Republican National Committee (RNC) will also meet at the Sea Lake estate. Trump’s home has become a fundraising base and a powerhouse for the Republican Party.
Max Miller, Trump’s former White House aide, will travel to Sea Lake Manor next week to raise money for his 2022 congressional campaign in Ohio. Last month, Trump gave his “full and complete endorsement” to Miller to challenge Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (D-Ohio), who voted to impeach Trump in January. Gonzalez was one of 10 House Republicans who fell over themselves to condemn Trump for “inciting” the riots at the U.S. Capitol after the Jan. 6 riots.
Over the past two weekends, longtime Trump White House press secretary Sarah Sanders has held fundraisers for Miller at the Sea Lake estate. Sanders is the daughter of the former Arkansas governor, who is running for Arkansas governor in the footsteps of her father. And another Trump ally, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R), is also running for re-election in 2022.
Sanders tweeted over the weekend, “I had a great weekend on the campaign trail, and President Trump made a surprise appearance at one of my events.” She included a photo of herself with the former president in the photo.
Last month, Sen. Mike Lee (R) of Utah also traveled to the Sea Lake estate to raise money for his 2022 campaign.
Biundo, Trump’s senior 2016 campaign adviser, told Fox News, “When you can have an event at the Sea Lake estate, you’re also bringing the weight and recognition of the former president to the table at the same Time.”
Biundo added, “The Sea Lake estate is a very attractive place for donors.” “If you’re running for Senate and want to have multiple fundraising committees and want to achieve maximum impact of all those committees, if you want to collect $20,000 per person, if you want the former president of the United States to sit with you personally, this (Sea Lake Manor) is the perfect place. There’s room for 20 people and you could raise almost half a million dollars.”
Next month, the Republican National Committee (RNC) will also come to Sea Lake Estates for a meeting and a fundraising contest. the RNC will hold its spring donor conference April 9-11 at the Palm Beach Hotel near Sea Lake Estates, with one day of the conference taking place at Sea Lake Estates, where Trump will speak. Participants will also be able to meet and take photos with the former president.
Fox analyzed that the Republican National Committee moved one day of its conference to the Sea Lake estate, underscoring the former president’s continued control of the Republican Party. And holding the meeting and fundraiser at the Sea Lake estate will further cement Trump’s influence over the Republican Party.
Biondo said, “Trump will continue to exert influence within the party and right where he doesn’t actually have to leave the floor …… So it’s a win-win.”
Polls show that Trump remains popular among Republican voters and highly influential among Republican politicians, and could also run for president again in 2024.
In the past two months, top Republican leaders such as House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Rick Scott (R-S.C.) have met with Trump at the Sea Lake estate.
Scott tweeted last week, “Great meeting with President Trump last night!” “We’re focused on winning back our Senate majority in 2022 to save our country from the far-left policies (of) today’s Democrats.”
