However, there was a return flow of sand and dust due to southerly winds. According to the Beijing Ecological Environment Monitoring Center on March 17, the “southward” sand and dust is gradually returning, and Beijing’s air quality will remain at moderate pollution levels for the next two days.

CCTV reported on March 17 that the sand and dust returned in the afternoon of the 16th, and the weather in Beijing was already moderately polluted in the morning of the 17th, when the Beijing Ecological and Environmental Monitoring Center monitored that the main pollutant was still PM10, with a concentration of more than 280 micrograms per cubic meter.

The mainland’s Central Weather Station website news, March 18, eastern and southern Xinjiang basin, most of Gansu, western Inner Mongolia, northeastern Qinghai, Ningxia and other parts of the region still have sandy or dusty weather, including sand and dust storms in the eastern Xinjiang localities. 19 to 20, eastern and southern Xinjiang basin, northern Gansu, western Inner Mongolia and other places have sandy or dusty weather, localities have sand and dust storms.
