Communist China places 2nd largest corn purchase order ever with U.S.

Reuters reported that the U.S. Department of Agriculture said that the Chinese Communist Party purchased 1.156 million tons of U.S. corn from private exporters in the U.S. The sale was the largest corn purchase order signed by mainland China since Jan. 29 this year, and also the second largest corn purchase order signed by the Chinese Communist Party since the USDA’s records began.

However, it is worth noting that, according to the USDA export sales data, as of March 4, China purchased a total of 18.7 million tons of U.S. corn, but has indeed shipped out of the sale of U.S. corn, less than 40% of its total purchase size.

In addition, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in view of the previous swine fever in mainland China, is currently trying to rebuild its large pig herd, in addition to barley, sorghum and wheat and other grains used for feed, mainland China will also import a record 24 million tons of corn from the world.
