The Gateway Pundit published an exclusive report claiming that a New York City judge removed a 6-year-old from her mother because she did not wear a mask while dropping her daughter off at school.
A New York City judge has removed a 6-year-old girl from her mom because she didn’t wear a mask when she dropped her off outside of school, according to a report.
In a shocking and egregious move, the court also told Dr. Epstein that in order to get short-term supervised visits with the child – she would have to wear a mask in her own Home.
It was an ordinary day last week when Family physician Dr. Micheline Epstein went to drop her daughter off at the Birch Wathen Lenox School on the Upper East Side – until her entire Life was turned upside down in an instant.
The tearful mother explained by phone that her daughter was already inside the building and wearing a mask when the school nurse and school security tried to force Dr. Epstein to wear the mask on the public street in front of the building, and Dr. Epstein refused.
“No one got into a physical altercation or anything, she just refused to wear the mask. They were outside on the public sidewalk.” Jeff Guttenplan, Dr. Epstein’s boyfriend, explained that his daughter was wearing a mask because they were asked to go indoors.
The mother explained that the school nurse had come out and aggressively asked her to put on the mask, but instead of accepting, she left. “The next thing I knew, my daughter was taken away from me,” she said in tears.
Dr. Epstein was separated from her daughter’s father, and they had reached a joint custody agreement in which the children split their Time equally at home. The divorce, however, was bittersweet.
After a conflict at school, Dr. Epstein left the school, but soon found out that the expensive college prep school had sent a letter to her, her estranged husband and both parties’ attorneys. The school asked Dr. Epstein not to pick up her children at school anymore.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the girl’s father used the notice about the muzzle situation to request an emergency hearing for full custody – a request Judge Matthew F. Cooper granted after chastising the already emotionally devastated mother.
“She’s the love of my life,” and “It’s horrible, please help us,” Dr. Epstein told The Gateway Pundit. , with tears coming to her eyes.
In addition, the court decided not to allow the mom to remove her daughter from the expensive school – and told her that she had no choice in the matter. She currently works three jobs to pay not only for her daughter’s expenses, but also for the six lawyers she hired to fight what she says is the kidnapping of her child.
On Tuesday, it was her daughter’s sixth birthday, but Dr. Epstein was not allowed to see her daughter or even speak to her.
To get supervised visits with her daughter twice a week, she needs to wear a mask inside her own home.
Dr. Epstein says people who want to help her can email the school and the judge ([email protected]) to help her fight for her rights. She has also started a “Give Send Go” fundraising campaign to help pay for the growing legal bills.
Dr. Epstein says, “The only thing I want is for people to come forward and stop this nonsense.” She has been crying and is having trouble containing her heartbreak.
The Gateway Pundit website has reached out to her daughter’s school for comment, but the school declined and told the reporter to call the receptionist again tomorrow. The Gateway Pundit said it would update the story if there was a statement.
