Recently, a female car owner sent a video to publicly report the “Fuel Power Scheme” fraud at Sinopec gas stations, but did not want to encounter phone harassment, verbal abuse and threats, and her personal information was exposed, which aroused public concern.
The woman, who calls herself “Qiao Zhirou”, was the first to post a video on Jitterbug on March 12 about the fraudulent sales she experienced at a Sinopec gas station.
Qiao said that she went to Shenzhen on March 2 for business, passing through a service area in Dongguan gas station refueling, was a young man selling “oil treasure”, asked the price, said the price is 50 yuan, but she finally paid when asked to pay 500 yuan.
Surprised, the other side explained that it was 50 yuan each, and she used two. However, the fuel oil station is sold by the box (5 sticks per box), and the station staff took out two sticks from two boxes respectively, so she was charged the price of two boxes (10 sticks).
Seeing the people waiting in line behind her, Qiao had no intention of continuing the theory and reluctantly bought the bill and left, but saw many boxes of empty Fuel Pak bottles under the fuel tank.
She came back and talked to her colleague about it, and his colleague said his old classmates sell fuel oil at gas stations, all in this scheme, and can easily make a commission of 20,000 to 30,000 each month.
She searched and found that this kind of scheme appeared in 2017, and countless people were trapped. This so-called fuel treasure is only $1/pc on shopping sites, where the windfall profits can be imagined, especially when such a disgusting thing happens blatantly at such a large gas station.
She questioned, there are hundreds of millions of car owners in China, each person is cheated 500 yuan, the amount is very considerable, how many more people will be cheated by Fuel Power? I dare to stand up and ask the leaders of Sinopec to answer her three questions.
- whether the staff selling Fuel Power are official employees and why they are wearing work uniforms; 2. why the recipient of the Fuel Power purchase is a private collector and where the money went; 3. her consumption of 762 RMB (including 262 RMB for gas and 500 RMB for Fuel Power), but the content of the invoice is for gas, while the actual cost of her gas is only 262 RMB, why the Fuel Power service is not reflected in the invoice?

She put forward her demands in the meeting, including norms such as oil treasure in a clear position to mark prices, but until the end of the half-hour conversation, the other side did not indicate the actual corrective measures, and the results of the handling of this matter. She then made a claim in WeChat, the other side said they would actively deal with.
But surprisingly, she said she started to receive many harassment and abusive calls from unfamiliar people. A netizen also told her that Sinopec had launched all its employees to complain about her video on the official platform of Shake.
Qiao woman was inexplicably grief-stricken and questioned where the harassers had obtained her phone number and whether there would be more aggressive behavior? Can her personal safety be guaranteed?
A search on the Internet shows that the FuelPak fraud that Qiao reported publicly has existed for a long Time and is very common, and has been publicly reported by the media many times, but the problem has existed until now.
According to a report by the mainland media last December, Mr. Xu, a car owner, complained to the Longwan District Market Supervision Bureau in Wenzhou City that when he was refueling at a gas station on Airport Avenue, he encountered a scheme to promote Fuel Power, initially promising to add only one bottle, but finally being asked to buy a whole box of Fuel Power (6 sticks) and being asked to pay 300 yuan.
The fraudulent scheme of the gas station includes not only the promotion of fuel oil, but also the promotion of “fuel tank cleaner”, which is exactly the same.
The Yangzhou Daily also received a complaint from Ms. Wang, who had just driven her new car for a few thousand kilometers, and was told by the gas station attendant that the tank was too dirty and she wanted to add tank cleaner.
She agreed to let the other party add a bottle, but did not expect the other party at the checkout said that a set of 6 bottles, you need to pay 360 yuan. She then searched online and found that the tank cleaner was not useful, especially for a new car that had only been driven a few thousand kilometers, which was superfluous.
The newspaper did not reveal which gas station it was. But the newspaper reporter in Yangzhou several random interviews with gas stations found that many car owners have encountered marketing tank cleaner. One car owner said, “The earliest gas station is to promote fuel po, later is the compound, now is the cleaner.”
It is reported that the so-called fuel treasure, is commercially available gasoline cleaner, the purpose of which is to solve the problem of carbon caused by inadequate combustion of gasoline.
A former professional working in the petrochemical industry revealed: the so-called fuel po, in fact, is a number of combustion aids, not a specific race or a requirement to add the standard number of oil, there is no need to add that fuel po, for the “two barrels of oil” (Sinopec, PetroChina) is a gimmick to make money.
For whether the fuel treasure can really improve the carbon, some big brands of car dealership 4S engineers said that the improvement effect is very weak, and not all vehicles are applicable. But the profits from the marketing of these products are also very substantial.
