A tesla electric car in Detroit, Michigan, USA, crashed violently into a large truck last Thursday (11) and was involved underneath, injuring at least two people. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Monday (15) that it is investigating whether the serious crash was related to the electric car’s automatic navigation system.
The incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. local Time last Thursday, the white Tesla electric car involved in the incident to stop and shake the white truck, and into the truck underneath, the body was severely damaged. A male driver and a female passenger in the electric car were injured and sent to hospital, with the 21-year-old female injured in critical condition with severe head injuries, while the truck driver was not seriously injured.
NHTSA expressed concern about the accident, has set up a special crash investigation team to investigate, the specific cause of the accident is not known, it is unknown whether the Tesla’s automatic navigation assisted driving system involved. The authorities have set up teams 14 times in the past to investigate similar accidents, but ultimately did not take any action against Tesla.
