Earlier Friday, The Gateway Pundit published the shocking story of James and his Family. James was arrested this week without bail and charged in connection with the Jan. 6 violence in Washington, D.C. James is an Iraq War veteran who was injured in a bomb blast in Iraq.
James is the breadwinner for his family and receives a retirement paycheck from the Army. He has three children, including a three-year-old.
The FBI called James’ office and lured James out of his Home to arrest him by pretending to be a customer in need of pressure washing. Then an armored Army vehicle with a turret on top, two FBI vans, six FBI vehicles, and three local police and sheriff’s vehicles showed up at James’ doorstep.
They pulled James’ wife and children outside to sit for nearly 8 hours, conducted a raid in full view of the public, and broke a light fixture. The only items finally confiscated were Oath Keepers T-shirts, stickers and pamphlets, and a can of some type of pepper spray.
Two days later, they did return with a search warrant for a random cell phone. Since then, the family has received harassing and threatening phone calls to their business phone, email and Facebook. With bail denied, the FBI will move James to Washington to await trial.
James is a war hero, a veteran, a devout man, a provider, and a business owner. James did not commit any violent crimes. The FBI is holding him for trial because he was seen speaking with two other Oath Keepers on Jan. 6.
Here are the reasons the judge denied bail. Although James had no criminal background, close ties to the community, was not a flight risk and was not considered violent that day, he remained in contact with members of the Oath Keepers after the 6th, did not take his medication after being bombed in his Iraqi suit, and possessed a firearm. The judge felt this was an unstable combination and there was no reasonable option to grant bail.
James, if released on bail, could stay home to protect his family while preparing for legal action. Now, James is in jail, unable to work, and his entire family has lost more than half of its income.
Earlier Friday, The Gateway Pundit asked readers to donate to the struggling family. Readers answered the call! America’s Patriots have raised over $100,000 for the James family.
James’ wife posted an update Saturday night, writing, “Thank you all for your outpouring of support and prayers! We can never thank you enough! I just spoke with James briefly on the phone and he was so overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude that he could barely process the messages. He wants you all to know that this means everything to him and our family! I was constantly on the phone trying to find an aggressive attorney to help get James home. I never thought I would need a lawyer or fundraiser, so please be patient as I try to make sure all the information is accurate and up to date. I will update when I know more information! Thank you!”
