Boycotting fake elections means not voting!

After the article was posted yesterday, a number of netizens suggested that instead of refusing to vote, they should vote for a spoiled or blank ballot. It is evident that just on the matter of targeting fake elections, people are still divided and still need to find a consensus.

The Chinese Communist Party has drastically changed the rules of the Legislative Council and Chief Executive elections, with the aim of controlling the election results, of course. For an unfair fake election, it should be boycotted. Some people say that the Democratic Party is preparing to participate in the new Legislative Council election. So far, I have not seen similar reports, which proves that what I suggested yesterday, that a consensus among the democrats should be reached as soon as possible, is not only necessary, but also Time-critical.

When we face this matter, we have a choice at two levels: first, whether we want to participate in this game, and second, if we want to boycott, in what way we want to boycott.

If we decide not to participate in this game, it is a refusal to vote, not a blank vote or a spoiled vote, because a blank vote or a spoiled vote is a participation in the vote. A blank vote means you don’t have a consensual candidate, a spoiled vote means you didn’t vote as required, but essentially, you are voting.

Ask yourself first if you want to go to their game, and if not, then you can’t go to a blank or spoiled ballot, because by going to the polling station, you are participating in a vote.

Not voting should be seen as a gesture, an expression of voter anger and refusal to submit to an unjust election. Since it is a gesture, it should be justified and dry and clear, with an unambiguous gesture of defiance, not a cover-up and a convoluted and covert way of doing it.

Voting for a blank or spoiled ballot will be a question of whether it will actually become a blank or spoiled ballot in the election committee later on. It is easy to pick a new candidate for a white vote, a spoiled vote cannot be changed, but if the government wants to falsify the election, it can revise the statistics before announcing it, originally a million spoiled votes can be revised to 50,000 spoiled votes, so what can we do?

With all the election machines in the hands of the government, there is not much we can do. The most direct and simple way is not to vote. No one can force us to vote, we don’t go to vote, the government can also disguise the numbers, but if more than 50% of the people in Hong Kong don’t go to vote, then the coldness of the polling stations must be very obvious. On the contrary, if you cast a blank or invalid vote, the polling stations will still be crowded, and if the government opens fewer polling stations or deliberately delays the opening, it will create a “grand situation” with long queues. The Chinese Communist Party will then be able to say that their “perfect” election system is widely supported by the people of Hong Kong.

The Chinese Communist Party is very experienced in playing pretend. Now, before the announcement of the specific system, there are already news that Feng Qiji, Huang Chengzhi, Di Zhiyuan and other rebels from the democratic camp are ready to play the new election game. In order to control the people of Hong Kong, the Chinese Communist Party must have found a way to find a few traitors to Hong Kong who are looking for glory and keep them as a vase, giving them some benefits to deceive the world.

Imagine how disgusting it will be for people like Frederick Fung and Wong Sing Chi to sit in the Legislative Council, raise their hands, and sing a little bit of a tune to create a “democratic” atmosphere!

Under such circumstances, if the democratic camp is not united to advance and retreat together, instead, you do what you want, I do what I want, everyone thinks he is very smart, very capable, no one else’s words will be heard, then the final result is that the Chinese Communist Party has once again achieved his goal.

The “perfect” electoral system has not yet been announced, but the pro-establishment camp is already making a lot of noise to build up momentum. To achieve the goal of subjugating the people of Hong Kong, the Chinese Communist Party has used the National Security Law to punish the protesters and the revised electoral system to ensure full power. If they cannot create a good atmosphere during the election process and ensure that the election will be held smoothly and “highly evaluated” at Home and abroad, they will have lost a lot of money for this great dragon and phoenix.

It can be expected that in the following period of time, the Chinese Communist Party will make every effort to ensure that the election will be held successfully according to their script. Our only attitude towards such unfair elections is to boycott, that is, not to participate, and to express it publicly before and after the elections with all the safe measures we can think of. This is the only way to make the world recognize the true face of the CCP and to express our anger against it.

The political parties of the democratic camp should hurry up to communicate, get a consensus, and make their consensus public, so that externally, they can expand their influence in the world, and internally, they can make the public work together, so that they can stop making a scattered mess, each doing their own thing, and having to accuse each other and make a mess. If we can’t even handle such a small matter, then we are Hong Kong people in vain, and we are not qualified to say anything about the pursuit of democracy.
