Great fearlessness! Rep. Greene Makes Motion to Adjourn, 40 Cowardly Republicans Refuse to Join – Blocking $1.9 Trillion Bill.

On Tuesday, the Democratic-held House passed the $1.9 trillion “Communist Party Viral Relief Act,” and the morning before it passed, Republican Congresswoman Greene moved to adjourn all business Tuesday to block passage of the bill, inviting the 40 Republican members who voted for the bill when it originally passed the House to join her.

Rep. Greene explained her action on Twitter, “I just made a motion to adjourn to stop Congress from passing a massive $1.9 trillion Democrat wish list.

However, the 40 Republicans did not respond to Rep. Greene’s invitation.

Democratic representatives took to Twitter to complain about Rep. Greene.

Rep. Don Beyer (R-Okla.) said, “House Republicans, led by Rep. Greene, are trying to stop bailout haircut relief for the American people by ending all business in the House today. It is now 9:24 a.m. on March 10.”

Rep. David Cicilline, a Democrat from Rhode Island, called Greene’s behavior unacceptable and said the House stripped Rep. Greene of his committee membership, so shouldn’t it also strip Rep. Greene of his power to recommend a recess. Cicilline said he would propose a rule that only committee members could make a motion to adjourn.

Many U.S. citizens may be shocked to learn that this bill, in fact, is specifically designed to bail out Democratic blue states. This $1.9 trillion bill is to allocate $350 billion to bail out blue states, an amount that represents 1/6th of the total bill, after Democratic governors imposed a grounding order on citizens and destroyed the economy, creating a huge debt, under the pretext of an Epidemic.

U.S. media outlet “100 Percent Fed Up” reported that Republican Senator Blackburn (R-CA) blasted the blue state bailout bill, telling Fox News that

“For purely partisan reasons, this bill uses unemployment numbers to determine the final payout for each state, rewarding failing blue states with tax dollars paid by red states where unemployment has not risen sharply, and Tennessee, which I represent, would lose $164 million; blue New York, New Jersey and California would gain a combined total of nearly $9 billion.

“Tennessee has worked hard throughout the pandemic to protect lives and livelihoods, and it has paid off. We put previous federal CCPV Relief Act funds into the Unemployment Trust Fund. We lifted statewide restrictions ahead of schedule to help businesses reopen, get people back to work and get kids back in the classroom.”

Republican Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) warned that “the latest Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report shows that the rapid expansion of the debt will “increase the risk of a fiscal crisis, with investors losing confidence in the U.S. government’s ability to service and repay its debts, leading to a sudden rise in interest rates and a spiral of Inflation ……

Senator Paul emphasized that “the Congressional Budget Office further warned that this mountain of debt could cause the world to replace the U.S. dollar with other currencies as a reserve currency.

“The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the U.S. national debt will equal 202 percent of gross national product by 2050. For years, fiscal conservatives like me have warned of the dangers that a national debt of more than 100 percent of GDP would pose, but the Congressional Budget Office points out that we are hurtling toward an era when the debt is twice the size of the economy.”

In a recent radio interview, Rep. Green also blasted the bailout law, saying Republicans must “stop Democrats from burning the country down and ripping our freedoms out of our hands.”
