Trump returns to New York or prepares for comeback to business group

Former U.S. President Donald Trump (Trump, Donald Trump) is seen outside Trump Tower in New York on Tuesday (March 9) as he prepares to leave, his first Time back in the city since leaving the presidency.

Trump waved to supporters outside the building as he left the building. He did not stop for an interview with reporters. His oldest son, Donald Jr. was also seen leaving Trump Tower.

Trump’s former presidential office did not publicly address the reason for his visit to New York. However, a source told the New York Daily News that Trump wanted to get reacquainted with his business group and various business interests after returning to civilian Life.

“He’s curious about his business and his staff and his group and eager to get to the bottom of it.” The source said. “He’s not completely sure what his role will be, but he misses it all.”

The former president arrived in New York on Sunday night (7). He has been living at his Sea Lake estate in West Palm Beach, Florida, since his term ended in January.

Trump is changing his primary residence from New York to Florida at the end of 2019. At the time, he said he would cherish New York “forever” but that he did not want to be mistreated by local politicians again.

“Unfortunately, despite paying millions of dollars in city, state and local taxes every year, I have been treated very badly by city and state political leaders. Few people are treated this badly.” Trump wrote on Twitter at the time.

The former president, who was born in Queens, New York, recently expressed interest in re-engaging with the Trump group as “a major part” of the reason for his trip to New York, anonymous sources said.

On the other hand, Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. and New York State Attorney General Letitia James are intensifying their investigation into Trump’s business dealings.

Vance, who is investigating whether Trump and his companies committed insurance, banking and tax fraud crimes by misrepresenting the value of their assets, has directed his prosecutors to meet personally with Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen on Wednesday (10), a source familiar with the investigation told the media.

Cohen will be questioned by the prosecution team for the seventh time on Wednesday, and this time by Vance himself, indicating that Cohen is a key interest for Vance.

In addition, Vance pressured Allen Weisselberg, Trump Group’s longtime chief financial officer, and even questioned him about his two adult sons. Typically, questioning Family members is a tactic often used by prosecutors to get witnesses to cooperate with investigations in exchange for leniency.

Jen Lakha is also investigating Trump for fraud, but on a civil level. Her office recently obtained the Trump Group’s tax records from Seven Springs Estates in Westchester County, where the company had claimed a massive $21.2 million in tax breaks.
