In the sexual harassment case against Governor Cuomo, New York State Attorney General Letitia James announced on August 8 that former federal prosecutor Joon H. Kim and attorney Anne Clark have been appointed to lead the investigation.
In a statement, the state attorney general’s office said Joon H. Kim, who served as acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York from March 2017 to January 2018, is a partner at the law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, and Clark is currently a partner at “Clark is currently a partner at Vladeck, Raskin & Clark, specializing in employment law, and has represented plaintiffs in a number of sexual harassment allegations in government and private industry.
“We are committed to conducting an independent and thorough investigation of the facts,” said Jen Lakha in a statement, “and Hyunjun Kim and Clark are independent legal experts with decades of experience in conducting investigations and upholding the rule of law. There is no doubt that they both have the knowledge and background necessary to lead this investigation and give the people of New York answers.”
The state Attorney General’s Office has also appointed three attorneys to assist in the investigation, including Jennifer Kennedy Park, Abena Mainoo and Yannick Grant.
The investigation team is required by law to report weekly to the Attorney General’s Office on the status of the investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, the team will submit a written report announcing its findings.
