A Canadian man recently received an inexplicable package from mainland China containing a 3-headed duckling specimen with instructions. Since the mail came from an unknown source, he shared the incident on social media for help, hoping to find clues to the sender.
Last week, Halifax, Canada resident Brent Braaten received a package, originally thought it was a fitness ball (Pilates ball) he had ordered online in the mail, but opened it to give him a big shock, it was a three-headed duckling specimen!
When Bratten checked the package from mainland China, the recipient’s name was written and the address was correct, which meant it was not a mistake by the letter carrier. He said the package was indeed addressed to him, but he did not order the duckling specimen.
He also checked his credit card records to see if he had ever gone online and bought something indiscriminately while he was drunk, but he confirmed that he had not purchased a taxidermy animal online. He searched the Internet and found that a duckling cost between $80 and $200, which is not cheap.
Bratten found an instruction sheet inside the package with an email address, which he emailed to ask if they had sent the wrong package, “but the person didn’t seem to understand what I was asking, and thought I was trying to buy something. So I wrote back asking for more information, but they didn’t reply.” He said.
His online search revealed that the name on the e-mail address matched the name of a Chinese zoologist who had made large specimens of elephants, giraffes and other animals.
The sudden receipt of this duckling specimen struck him as odd, so he shared the incident on Facebook and asked for help to find out exactly who had sent the duckling specimen to him. Although he did not get angry when he received this strange package, he nevertheless thought, “I think either a friend wants to give me a mysterious gift or an enemy wants to curse me ……
