A woman was taken to the hospital with injuries and a male patron, a jeweler, lost his $500,000 watch after an armed robbery in broad daylight at a Beverly Hills restaurant in Los Angeles County, S.C. The jeweler is offering a reward of $50,000 for the arrest of the thief. After the incident, the police have stepped up patrols in the vicinity.

At about 2 p.m. on the 4th, a woman was shot and wounded in an armed robbery at Il Pastaio, a famous Italian restaurant in the 400 block of North Canon Street near Santa Monica Boulevard. According to the police investigation, the injured person was not the intended target of the gunmen. The three male suspects demanded property from a male patron who was dining at the restaurant when the injured woman and two others were in the same location. One of the suspects shot the woman, and the three suspects then fled the scene on foot.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a rose Gold Richard Mille RM11-03 Flyback Chronograph watch, valued at $500,000, was stolen from jeweler Shay Belhassen. The reward will be offered to those who can apprehend the suspect and return the watch information.

Beverly Police Chief Dominick Rivetti said on the 6th that first and foremost, security is the number one priority in Beverly Hills and that criminal activity of any kind will not be tolerated and that he wants the world to know that Beverly Hills is a safe community. Police and private security personnel will now be deployed within the territory in response to robbery shootings at upscale restaurants.

Belhassen, for his part, expressed anger. He said there have been similar cases in the area in recent weeks, and he believes police are not taking the matter seriously enough. The crime occurred when a suspect pulled a gun out of his jacket pocket, grabbed him from the back of a chair and then held the gun to his head. He, in turn, grabbed the gun and knocked the robber to the ground.
