Indiana Attorney General: HR1 killed the voter ID law, dead people can vote, can turn in fake votes after election day

Indiana’s Inspector General Todd Rokita told Breitbart News Friday that HR1, if passed, would ban voter ID laws nationwide and automatically send ballots to anyone on a poorly maintained voter roll.

In an interview with the host of Sirius XM Radio’s Breitbart News Daily, Attorney General Rokita said, “HR1 basically codifies all of the violations from last year’s election and implements them into the bill.”

Mr. Rokita went on to say, “HR1 makes photo ID illegal in the United States. Every person on the voting rolls, living or not, can be mailed a ballot. hr1 makes it harder for states, to remove dead people from the voting rolls and harder to remove people who move away from the voting rolls.”

The attorney general noted that HR1, known as the “For the People Act,” would also legalize ballot collection, with voting taking place up to 10 days after Election Day. In elections where both sides are close, ballot collectors continue to collect ballots that are likely not genuine, and then those non-genuine ballots have to be accepted.”

The moderator asked, “No sane Western country would do that, right?”

Rokita replied, “No third world country has such a rule either. Everywhere on earth, photo ID is required to vote. Everywhere in the world, the vast majority vote in person, because that’s the only way to really maintain one person, one vote.”

Earlier, Rokita, along with 19 other state attorneys general, sent a letter to congressional leaders describing the “constitutional loopholes” within HR1.
